Never coming back! Came here Sunday morning to have brunch with a bridal party of 5 before heading over to the bridal district to go wedding dress shopping with our bride. The food was great and our server was nice. The problem is the owner herself. She’s supposed to be the face of her business and she was one of the rudest people we have ever met. She was checking our party out up at the front desk (which is where you have to pay) and we all had separate checks, which she immediately voiced that she was annoyed with, saying “why couldn’t one of you just handle it”. She then asked if any of us had cash and when we replied that we didn’t, she kept repeating “cash? You don’t have cash?!”. We then asked if she’d accept card and she replied “yes, but cash is faster”. To be clear, the place was not busy. When we got there, there was no wait. We sat at a table right by the door and anyone who walked in was told they could go ahead and sit wherever they want. So we were very confused why she was rushing us and giving us a rough time with the separate checks and not having cash. She then asked if we were a bridal party going over to the bridal district. We said yes and she responded with “of course you are” in a very condescending tone. My friend was one of the last of our party to check out. She always pulls out her phone to use the calculator app to figure out 20% tip. When she did this, she immediately said while laughing, “oh honey, are you serious? Did you not go to school?!”. We were all shocked and immediately called her out saying how rude she was being. We asked if she was the owner, which she replied she was. We then repeated how rude she was with us, and left. We received no apology. The family behind us checking out even came up to us outside and agreed how rude she was and that they won’t be...
Read moreWe were excited to try this diner based on the positive reviews, hoping to find a place to visit regularly. Unfortunately, our experience fell short, and we won’t be returning.
Upon arrival, the gentleman at the counter didn’t acknowledge us as we walked in, keeping his attention on his phone. I mentioned we were first-time customers, and his only response was to tell us, “just sit anywhere.” A woman then brought over two menus, but they were dirty, and shortly after, she took our drink order. My husband asked for a ginger ale, to which she gave a dismissive sneer and informed us they didn’t have any. When I asked if that was an unusual request, she coldly replied, “yes.”
The menu was large, and when she returned with our drinks, she asked if we were ready to order. We said no, and she stormed off without another word. The gentleman at the counter then came over to take our order, almost as if the woman had no intention of helping us.
The atmosphere was uncomfortable — the place was unusually hot, which made us wonder if there were HVAC issues, possibly contributing to the staff's sour mood. The artificial plants and decor were also quite dirty, which gave the place a neglected feel. To top it off, the mayo on my sandwich tasted off, almost like cardboard, and was surprisingly warm.
Overall, the poor service, uncomfortable environment, and lackluster food left us disappointed. We were hoping for a better experience, but unfortunately, we won’t...
