Walked in around 7pm on a Friday to make/take a place out order. Was immediately created by the owner/ Chef Richard with a warm smile. Read me in traditional fashion his menu. I went in based on a google search and with the goal to place an order for jerk chicken platter. After hearing the menu I also added in the rasta pasta.. for either a late night snack or lunch tomorrow. I snuck a few bites in before my dinner and it was delicious. My jerk chicken was also top notch and the cabbage is amazing. I love jamaican restaurants as you can really taste each families flavor and background in their cooking. Chef Richard also let me sample the curry goat and well i know I’ll be back! Had a beer next door while I waited and it wasn’t long before my order was prepared and RTG. I have to remember next time to ask for extra sauce though, i love that stuff. Grabbed me a Ting! and enjoyed that with my meal. 100% would recommend.

I’m not sure what to say but just know that when we drive from North Carolina here to see family this is the only place we stop to eat. The Chef/Owner is always amazing and all the food is fresh and while you wait you keep yourself busy listening to music and mingling with others. He brings the food to your table and at times explains the dish to you before you are filled with the tasted pleasures of Authentic Jamaican dishes…. This is a must when you come to Reading PA and if you want to take a drive it’s worth the trip….. HATS OFF TO THE CHEF RICH!!!!

Came across Naked Chop by happenstance while looking for different lunch options. I was excited to see that it was only 0.5miles from my place of employment. Ordering was easy and the food was ready in less than 10mins. The cooking area is spotless and the dining area has plenty of seating. NOW... let's talk about these oxtail & jerk chicken platters. EV-VER-Y thing was seasoned to perfection. There was a good amount of chicken and oxtails on the 2 platters that I got. The meat just fell off the bone! The sides were delicious. We wanted to try some Jamaican food and came across this place in Reading. We had the Jerk Chicken patties and oxtail stew platter with rice and peas and seasoned veggies. The food was amazing and you can tell that the chef spent much time perfecting his dishes.

The jerk chicken patties were delicious and flaky with just the right amount of kick. The oxtail stew was so tender and well seasoned. I would definitely recommend this place. The owner was also really nice and even let us try the curry goat stew since it was something we never had before. The goat was also amazing and tender with amazing flavors.
