Pizza World — Restaurant in Reading

Really bummed out over "sub" order on crazy hot day. We have ordered pizza, salads and apps here plenty of times and this is our go to pizza place. We just ordered four typically cold subs 2 roast beefs, a Turkey and an Italian because it's hot and gross out and we don't want to cook to find out that all the subs were cooked. I called to find out what happened and was told they toast all there "grinders" and sorry. I've been to just about every pizza/sub shop in eastern Massachusetts but not all and have never been to a place that doesn't have cold cut sandwiches that are cold unless requested to toast them that wasn't some uptight place or crappy chain. Lived in reading my whole life and have been a pizza world customer for long time with a lot of pizza shops around. Not sure if I'll keep going here. Just feeling a little jaded about the "we toast all our grinders sorry bye". I would have given 1 star but I like the rest of the menu. Never getting a typical "rest of the industry cold sub"...

This was my first time here. Ordered a chicken kabob salad. Was disappointed with basic grocery store pile of iceberg lettuce and a packet of Ken's Steak House dressing. I'm sorry but my expectations were that I would get restaurant quality food. The chicken and vegetables were fine, but I'd never go back. The pita was nothing to write home about and they served the salad in a three compartment styrofoam container. Presumably to make it look like more food? Foam is not a good container material to eat a salad from with a fork, especially with dividers under the lettuce. Also waited 10 minutes for it. Wish I could go back in time and...

I love this crust! It's crispy, has a fantastic bread flavor, like fresh out of the oven flavor. The sauce and cheese are good too but it's the crust that makes this so delicious. Also, we had salad and chicken fingers with fries, all delicious. We got a garden salad and a Caesar and both were fresh and one had grilled chicken that was seasoned perfectly. The chicken fingers might be frozen but I could not tell because they taste so fresh. I love this place and the prices are fair, thank you...
