Update: We tried it again for my Birthday celebration Nov 23. There were a total of 3 or 4 other tables downstairs when we were seated (early res). Water arrived promptly. Sat for 15 minutes without any server coming over. Meanwhile watching the 1 seated table across from us, that came in after us, get greeted and served their drinks and be asked about apps right away. After our last experience, we decided to leave. The hostess was busy so we didn't wait longer to provide feedback. I personally won't be trying again. Walked down the street to another establishment and had a great experience. I hope the owners can take all the feedback provided here on Google as constructive feedback with areas for improvement, rather than pointing the finger back at customers as I've read on many reviews.
We had an early family Christmas dinner planned and arrived on time for our 4:30 res. We asked for a corner booth downstairs, which was granted. 15 minutes in we were asked if the rest of the party was coming and if not, could we move. We had one person not able to make it at the last minute, due to not feeling well. So we were amenable of course, but this was all done with another party standing feet from us, watching it all happen and sat down seconds after we got up, a table across from us. The host could have handled this better. Not classy and a little embrassing. Note, there were MANY tables open at this time so not sure why it was so important. The food is very good. The waiter and support staff were attentive, but service starts at...
Read moreI made last minute dinner reservations at the Venetian Moon for two business colleagues and myself on 6/28/21. I was a bit stressed by my goals for this important meeting, and wanted the dinner to be perfect. I chose this hidden jewel for its proximity, and relied upon the excellent reviews I read since I had never been before. I had no trouble parking, and when I was led downstairs to their charming and intimate dining room, I knew everything was going to go great! The ambience was perfect, the server outstanding, and the food beyond exquisite! How I have never eaten here before is criminal, but I assure you I will be back! After a wonderful, lazy 3-hour dinner we left the restaurant and I was talking to one of my colleagues by our cars when Jim, the Manager, came running out holding an iPad we had inadvertently left on an empty chair. He had called my phone first, but when I didn't answer he went the extra mile of coming out onto the street to see if we were still around. With that extra step and courtesy Jim instantly saved me a trip back to the restaurant the next day. Thank you Jim, and all the great people at the Venetian Moon, who made our night so spectacular (and me an unexpected business success...
Read moreRarely write reviews but I went there for my birthday & it was a disappointing experience. Waitress barely came over to see how the food was & we had to repeatedly flag people down for refills & had to clear our own plates and put them on another table after waiting 20 minutes. Did not ask if I wanted another drink & just took away my glass. Food was definitely pre-made & was over cooked. Bread was also not hot despite asking the waitress to see if we could make it hot. My parents ordered me a dessert for my birthday & there was very little cannoli dip/ chip ratio & chips were stale ( I also found this the only birthday experience at an Italian restaurant in 23 years of my life that’s never extended a birthday dessert on the house). Would maybe go there again but only get the appetizers & sit at the bar. Good for late night drinks & apps only, if that. Acted like they could have cared less whether we were there or not or that it was my birthday. No greeting coming in or out.I did not feel welcome at all. Growing up in an Italian family ( on my mothers side) food is a big part of our culture & when you invite people into your restaurant or “ home” you make them feel like they...
