Quiz - In a restaurant or a sandwich shop, what is the most important, good food, or good service?
The Answer is: It doesn't matter how good the food is, if the service is mediocre, than something good can turn into a bad experience.
This is not the first or second time I order from Romano's Chicago style Pizza & Grill for a delivery.
Every order I got, somehow got messed up. Sometimes I'll get the wrong topping even though I make sure I explain to them what I wanted, another time, it took the delivery guy over 1:30 minutes to deliver, even though I am just about 10 blocks away from them, plus, they forgot one of my item I ordered.
Nobody called me back that day even though I was promised someone would call me. Plus, when I called the next day, the lady who answered was not professional, and rude and hung up on me.
I guess they don't have the time to hear legitimate complains, but they do make time to take orders and while at it, your money.
My Recommendations: If you ever order something, whether for pick up or delivery, always make sure to check what you ordered before you pay, or leave the premisses.
Unless you are willing to drive back to the premisses, rest assured that no one will call you, and I am saying this from my experience.
This will be my last bad experience I had at this sandwich shop because it will be the last time I...
Read moreFood is subpar. They have sent incorrect orders multiple times. To be fair they issued one credit on first mistake. The other day i order 2 large pies and 2 sodas through grubhub. I used the drop down menu for half toppings. I know this because i double checked after they told me i was wrong and i was charged for half toppings, not full toppings as i would have been if i ordered incorrectly. I had 2 young kids waiting for plain pizza and when the order arrived as full toppings i called in to trade the pizzas out for the ones i actually ordered. They told me thats how grubhub sent them over. Thats how i get them. They didnt even look into whether or not i was correct or incorrect. Just grubhub said that so thats what you get. I understand that grubhub does make these types of mistakes as i work in a pizzeria myself and have dealt with them on many occasions but i highly doubt i am the first person this has happened to and for them to just take my 40 dollars for 2 pizzas a couple sodas and shrug it off when i ordered something and they made it incorrectly...shame on you. Next time look into it a little further because if you go on your online ordering and choose one large half topping and one large pie with 2 half toppings you will see that i was charged accordingly. Not the 2 full...
Read moreI’m so disappointed in the customer service. My deep dish pizza came sloshed all over the box, soggy and way too much cheese and onions (like barely edible). I ordered through the slice app and they contacted the restaurant who said they would send me a new pizza but that I had to return the original one. By this time I had waited about an hour to eat and attempted to eat a small slice since I was starving. A lady comes to my door with a new Pizza and says, “I need to see the old one” as she holds the new one until I show her, like I may have been lying or something. So I opened the box for her and she says, “it looks like it was dropped. And you ate a slice.” I said, “so you aren’t going to give me the new one? Yes, I ate a piece because I have been waiting 2 hrs to eat at this point.” They took about 45 mins to get the new pizza to me. Anyway, she wasn’t very friendly and her demeanor made me feel like I was lying about the pizza. I was so offended that I told her to keep her pizza and shut the door. It was absurd and I have never been questioned like that over food. Anywhere else would have apologized, gotten the food to me ASAP and never asked for the messed up pizza back and then question me at my door. I’m still shocked at how they...
