McDonald's — Restaurant in Redford Township

This is one of the worst McDonald's I have ever visited. I've dealt with small things just because this restaurant is very close to us but I will never order there again after tonight. It's extremely obvious that the dinner workers hate their jobs & their customers. They simply don't care. The drive-thru is always extremely slow. They will keep you waiting to place an order even with no customers. You can hardly ever understand them on drive-thru speaker. It's not faulty equipment. It's their lack of care or concern. I use the mobile app to try to make it easier but even this is worthless because they dont make your order any quicker & they can just cancel your order if they don't feel like making it. I gave the drive-thru attendant my mobile order code & was instructed to pull on to the last window. When I finally get to the window, they tried to give me someone else's order. When I told her what my order was she told me it was canceled. I didn't cancel it & I have a receipt showing I paid. I then told the worker what I needed thinking they'd just get the order together. She told me it was canceled & I'd need to circle around again to order again even though I'd already waited a long time in the drive-thru which was still many cars long because they weren't taking anyone's order. I asked her if she would be happy with that if it was her. She just shut the window & walked away. I was not rude in the slightest but she couldn't have looked more disgusted if she had tried. Two other workers stood within hearing distance with no concern either & eyeballed me like I'd done something. These people must hate their lives. Now I have a receipt for food I paid for and never received. Most of the time they don't acknowledge you or even look at you when they stick the order out the window but this experience is just pathetic. I mean, who hires people like this. I'm not even mad. I just wanted some dinner. I have never contacted a corporate office to complain but I will be doing that on Monday morning. I will also be contacting my bank to dispute the charges. Do...

I would first and foremost like to mention that I have only ever used the drive thru here, so I cannot speak on anything involving the inside of this establishment, but given my experience in the drive thru, I imagine its much the same indoors.

The first and what would be last time that I visited this location I waited approximately 40-50 minutes in the drive thru. You might be asking yourself why someone would be waiting that long in a McDonald's drive thru line, but truth be told I wasn't in the driver seat, and well after all we were all pretty hungry after a long night at the casino. It was 10:30 pm or so on a Saturday and we obviously didn't anticipate waiting as long as we did.

I will say that once we eventually got to the window where we had to pay, the employee working the window was very apologetic about the wait. That obviously didn't change the fact that we waited as long as we did, but nonetheless, he seemed to care a bit. Unbeknownst to us, the wait wasn't the worst thing we'd experience from this location.

The food we received after our extended drive thru wait was subpar at best. Honestly, it appeared as though whomever was making the food (presumably more than one person) just had absolutely given up on putting the sandwiches together how they're supposed to. Beyond that the fries were cold, and very sad looking. As you can imagine it was even more frustrating to wait that long, and then to receive a very lackluster meal afterward.

When all is said and done, I am not sure what exactly was going on when I stopped here, but I can tell you there are far too many McDonald's out there for me to continue wasting my time...

While I was here, a man who is either in upper management or the store owner began accosting a group of older Black boys who had been minding their own business. They were not being a disruption or loitering. The place was basically empty.

The man began asking whether they were still eating, and they respectfully replied that they'd just finished. He said they needed to leave immediately, repeatedly saying throughout the exchange "I can't make money like that." They boys were quiet and polite, but seemed confused. They were waiting on their friend who had just gone to bathroom, and the man said that if they didn't leave "in 2 minutes" that he would call the cops. They left as soon as their friend finished using the restroom.

The man was very loud. You would think he must own the place, being able to get away with that kind of behavior. He made my girlfriend uncomfortable from a distance. He never spoke to us, though we were nearby and honestly, we had been there for longer than the boys had. We were never accosted like they were.

The food and the staff were great, especially the girl who took our order. I think it is the management here that has a serious problem with the way they treat other people, and I'm sure the same attitude is directed toward the staff. This man was incredibly unprofessional, and threatened a group of young men who had done nothing wrong to either leave immediately or have the police called on them.
