This place deletes negative comments on Facebook. It's the lowest forum of tweeking reviews that exists. The food here is horrible. You might as well get Stoffers. I have tried this place over my 20 years in the neighborhood. My last experience was tonight. It will be my last experience for a while. We waited almost 10 minutes for a seat even though the place was less than 1/2 full. My kids were ready to leave, but I really wanted to eat in this type of restaurant. I spied the Sam Adams draught beer pull while we were waiting and ordered one when we sat down. I got a bottle of beer. They have the taps but have stopped selling draught beer. My wife ordered the house Cabernet. I tried it and it was excellent. The bread basket came and my kids had to be stopped from mowing it down. It is a step above from loaf bread and butter that many other places serve. The soup they serve is fine. The side salads must have been in the refrigerator for a full day. The lettuce was wilted and the tomatoes were rock hard.
Then the main courses came. My son didn't like the pizza. The crust was too thick and there was too much cheese on it. The Chicken Chianti was overflowing with mushrooms and sauce but it couldn't cover the dried out piece of chicken it was poured over. My Veal Parmesan was dry and tough as shoe leather. It is really a shame that this place can't get a chef rather than a cook. For the prices they charge they should have someone who knows how to cook and supervise others in...
Read moreI recently took the leap to start my own business and my boyfriend and I chose to celebrate at Brogino’s, since I love Italian food. We made a reservation and walked into the restaurant and were disappointed when no one greeted us. After several minutes, my boyfriend asked the bartender if we could be seated and he acknowledged us (finally) but we ended up waiting a few more minutes before being seated. They seemed short-staffed, which I understand can be challenging (I worked as a server for 5 years), but it was frustrating to look over and see a man we assumed was the manager casually chatting up a couple at the next table while we waited several minutes to be greeted by our server and then waited for our drinks (water and a bottle of champagne). The food was disappointing (i.e., salty and basic - similar to a frozen meal from the grocery store) despite ordering two dishes off the “House Specialties” part of the menu. I’m truly not a picky eater and I wanted to enjoy the food but it just wasn’t good.
Overall, though we wanted to enjoy the night and the unique ambiance of the restaurant, our experience was ruined by both the poor service and the disappointing food. I can’t recommend this place as it is. Maybe under different ownership...

As soon as I got there, I was greeted by the staff. my party of 4 where seated promptly Due to the reservation I noticed right away by the ambiance reminded me of little Italy back east. From the tablecloths and the décor. As we were seeded we were promptly greeted by The server Omar.. we ordered a bottle of wine as the server was popping The cork and pouring the wine. He proceeds to go over items on the menu. Explaining any concerns we had or questions. He was very polite and nice, even though one person in our party was ordering off the menu. The food was bought out very promptly salad first, then the soup the salad was very cold and crisp. With a nice Italian dressing. The soup was vary good as well. The entrees were delicious.
