Charming cafe on Artesia Blvd. in the heart of the the new more vibrant, more happening, more going on revitalized North Redondo Beach. Far more than a great little neighborhood cafe they integrate training, employment, and other programs that sprung from Mychal's learning place and their cafe at TMMC. The breakfast dishes are fresh and delicious and there are plenty of options for lunch as well. Fresh baked goods are available at the counter and there is and other cold and hot beverages.. plenty of customers were grabbing coffee to go . There is a great patio on the rear where dogs and kids are having a nice time.. and that is also where you find the large parking lot.. enter off Vanderbilt Ln.. as Vanderbilt is a one way street take MacKay Ln and turn west on Vanderbilt then their parking lot will be almost to to the end of the block on your right. The great vibes here equal the great food and people. If you need a nice cup of coffee or a full meal you will enjoy a visit to Mychal's Cafe. They also have really cool merch on sale and are selling amazing original artwork to support their mission. What a cool spot for so many reasons.

Stopped by Mychal’s cafe on Friday with my mom and sister. It was around 10:30/11 am and I was hungry enough to eat more than the typical muffin and a hot drink. I ordered a grilled cheese plus bacon with a green salad, a chai latte with oat milk (they have tons of milk options!), and a snickerdoodle cookie. While waiting for my food I walked around and admired the artwork on the walls (created by Mychal’s students), the bright lighting, and the overall open airy feeling of the cafe. Shortly after we sat at a table, a staff member brought my chai followed closely by my sandwich and salad. The sandwich was perfect, it had the most beautiful grill marks on the bread! Not too cheesy, not too much bacon, not too small, not too large. Plus the salad had the perfect amount of dressing. I should note I’m a notoriously picky eater. The service was friendly and helpful. I’m looking forward to going back and trying other options on the rather large and varied menu.

I've been following their inspiring Instagram stories. I was excited to visit their cafe. They have a big outdoor patio n large indoor seating. Along with a merchandise area. There is a wonderful pastry/bakery display at the register. Their menu has breakfast, sandwiches, salads, soups, kids, selections. My husband had the chicken pesto panini w/salad, comes with your choice of side dish. I had the turkey bacon club sandwich w/tomato soup side n iced tea. I got a box of baked goods for my cardiac rehab gym team. The food was delicious n service was quick n friendly. They hire n train learning challenged/disabled people. A meal with a loving purpose. I highly recommend this great cafe 10 out of 10 rating. Give their Instagram page a like 👍

Mychal's Cafe in Redondo Beach is more than just a great breakfast spot; it's a place with a real purpose. Knowing that it's a social enterprise providing on-the-job training for the incredible participants of Mychal's Learning Place makes every bite that much more meaningful.

First off, let's talk about the food. We went on a Sunday morning, and everything was delicious. I went for the breakfast burrito, and it was flavorful with bacon, scrambled eggs, cheddar jack, tots, and green onion all wrapped up in a warm flour tortilla.

My wife and son shared a couple of things, and they were equally impressed. The Mykie's Scramble was a hearty and satisfying plate of bacon, eggs, potatoes, and cheese, with a side of toast. And the bread pudding French toast was perfectly cooked, and the seasonal fruit and maple syrup were the perfect toppings.

The cafe itself is bright and inviting, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. It's a great place to relax and enjoy a leisurely breakfast or brunch. And they have fantastic coffee and tea too! My wife and I both enjoyed their lattes.

Finding parking can be a bit tricky, but I've got a little insider tip: if you're driving on Artesia Blvd, turn south on MacKay Ln, then right on Vanderbilt Ln. Keep an eye out on the right, just before Slauson Ln, for the colorful entrance to their parking lot. Trust me, it's worth the extra effort.

It's clear that Mychal's Cafe puts a lot of love into their food and their mission. It's a place where you can enjoy a delicious meal while supporting a fantastic cause. It's a 5-star...
