It's wonderful to find a place to eat at that actually has Very Good Food . Everything I have tried here was good or very good or great . This place clearly has high standards and produces food that is good in every way . It's a perfect place to eat in or grab some food and go .
French food is about quality and flavor and richness so this is the place to indulge if you like to wait to find high quality sweets like I do . Sweet Wheat is probably the best bakery I ever ate at and all their food is delicious and prepared properly . I suggest getting several items because they have so much food that is pleasing to eat . Despite the excellent quality of the food it is very fairly priced and worth every penny .
The foods at Sweat Wheat are the type of foods that helped artists like Claude Monet create art that (along with good food and music(and people)) can transform this hectic and tragic life into a pleasant and even magical experience .
I would think that the people who Make the food here actually Care about the food they produce . The missing ingredient in most "American" food is it lacks Love . Love is an essential component in creating Great food . I always likes French culture . The food from Sweet Wheat is made with LOVE and you can taste it in...
Read moreWanted to try a new bakery. Came here to get some French pastries and yummy savory sandwiches.
We got the Lorrain quiche, ham, egg and cheese croissant, a baguette. I forget what the cherry/ raspberry dessert is call but it was super light and yummy. Not overly sweet. The White chocolate pistachio cookie wasn't good which is my drop in stars. It was too crumbly, had no flavor, and super super dry. Texture and taste was like sand. Would not recommend any of the 🍪 ❌. Both savory items were actually delicious and also like that they ask if you want it heated but my only concern is that it's been sitting out too long (so make sure to ask) or see if they can make a fresh one (doubt it but never hurts to ask).
Also got fresh orange juice (small bottle) and a lavender honey latte (not enough espresso), both were very mediocre. Everything was overly priced.
This location has parking (limited) but there is parking. The person helping us seems lackluster, sweating and didn't feel like he wanted to be there but we got our things pretty quick though. All in all, Great ambiance outside and indoor seating which is nice. Probably won't be back. But for a 1st...
Read moreSo, my wife and I have been around Redondo Beach for a good while but never stopped by Sweet Wheat, even though there's always a crowd. We've been on this kick to cut out seed oils and reduce inflammation, and we found out Sweet Wheat is totally seed oil-free – awesome, right?
First off, the quality and taste of their food? Unbeatable. We initially popped in to grab some baked goods for a friend's party, and let me tell you, they were a massive hit! The food not only tastes amazing, but it also looks incredible. Everything is presented so beautifully, it's almost a shame to eat it. Almost.
After our success with the party treats, we couldn't resist going back the next morning for brunch. Everything on the menu is highly recommendable. The sandwiches? Super fresh and downright delicious. The salads are not only fresh but huge, and the coffee is just excellent.
We're definitely going to be regulars now, and although we might be stopping by way too often, neither of us is mad about it. Super happy we discovered this gem! If you're in the area and looking for some quality eats, Sweet Wheat...
