Five Star for service! The staff were all wonderful, and greeted us up upon arrival. We didn't wait at all for a table around 1:30pm on a Saturday for lunch and requested indoors.
Five Star for the atmosphere for casual American food. The decor is happy with a surf motive. The interior is welcoming and clean. Having a late lunch here was the perfect oasis after taking a long walk along the beach.
I was craving a burger, as I know their burgers are really good, but there were so many other options such as the California Wrap, the Turkey Melt BLT, or the Steak Bowl. With help from Cailin ( our server), I chose the California Wrap with fries. My friend ordered the Steak Bowl. My California Wrap was very tasty and I took half home for later, as I was full with just the half. My friend's Steak Bowl was delicious, her steak was cooked exactly as she wanted, however, it looked like there was too much teriyaki dressing as the rice was swimming in sauce. She didn't say anything but if I order this dish for myself, I will ask for the teriyaki sauce, on the side. We could of ordered dessert, but we were both full and content with our lunch. Cailin was attentive and smiled as we asked her all our questions. In fact, the entire staff here work hard and well together.
Dog friendly front patio seating. Wheelchair accessible seating.
I wish there was a Good Stuff in Santa Monica, where I live. The casual atmosphere, the friendly staff and yummy food, all make me want to return to Good Stuff next time I am in this area. Well done! I know there are 3 more other locations in El Segundo, Palos Verdes and Hermosa Beach.
I used to go to Good Stuff in West LA, decades ago. (On Olympic near Bundy, the original one) .The signage and interior of that location looks the same, but the ownership changed . I was tricked! GRRRRRR!!!! The West LA restaurant is not afflicted with this restaurant group. This one is called GOOD STUFF BURGERS, which is NOT ASSOCIATED with Good Stuff. I was confused and really disappointed when I went there recently because everything LOOKED the same, with the same murals on the wall, the surfboard, but the menu is...
Read moreI moved to the area a year ago and was hoping to find a nice casual local spot to frequent for breakfasts- and I found it! The first time at breakfast here with my two year old, my waitress was Annie. Her friendliness, great service, and playfulness with my daughter (along with of Course, the great food) is what has kept me coming back AT LEAST once a week for the past year (and I can’t forget the personal touch she adds by always finding me their big sugar pourer so I don’t have to tear open up a thousand packets of sugar for my coffee!). I truly wish this app gave the option to give her more than five stars because I would give her those as well and then still complain i didn’t have more stars to give her. The food, meanwhile, is delicious! Their pancakes are great and fluffy…their California omelettes are hot and fresh and full of all their ingredients. OK here we go. I’m sorry! I’m just so disappointed that it took me about eight months to realize their amazing cinnamon rolls are available not just on weekends, but every day of the week!!! And all the other waitresses/staff are terrific as well-they really work as a team to make sure everyone is well taken care of and happy. They are all so incredibly friendly...
Read moreAt least two Sunday mornings a month I’ll find myself eating at Good Stuff with either family, friends or both. Like any restaurant on a Sunday morning, it’s busy. However, the manager Jairo is a pro at keeping things moving and helping out where he is needed to get you in and out in such a way that you’re not waiting too long nor feel rushed to leave. As for the breakfast menu, I’ve tried most everything on there. It’s not ground-breaking but it’s consistently good which is what I’m looking for in a breakfast. Plus, I’ve never heard any of my family or friends say that something wasn’t up to par. Which is why I gave it 4 stars. As for the service it can go from great (thanks Bernie!) to average depending on how much experience your server has. There seems to be a pretty high turnover but it’s only once in a blue moon that I’ll get a horrible server. If you live in the South Bay, you’ve probably eaten here. It’s a South Bay institution, it comfort food and the atmosphere of the restaurant is a reflection of the South Bay. As for the prices, I’d say they are fair. If your looking for a deal maybe you should eat at home. In the end, Good Stuff is worth checking out if you’re...
