As a recent transplant who really misses carne asada burritos in San Diego, I decided to give Anna's a try. I was really disappointed. While the burrito was filling and wasn't bad...it just wasn't good. The burrito was big enough but there really wasn't much flavor. The meat wasn't seasoned and neither was the salsa. The burrito includes rice and beans inside. I've never been a fan of packing them inside the burrito. Refried beans and Spanish/Mexican rice are more enjoyable separate from the burrito, especially when the burrito lacks flavor. It also includes sliced cheese. Another swing and miss. The cheese was probably more flavorful than the meat. The meal was also over-priced. The bill was over $13 for a burrito and an iced tea. They also charge more for take out. The extra money the restaurant pays for a take out container is easily erased by the lack of service employees have to provide. Take out should actually cost less if not the same as eat in, but certainly not more. Seating and service were fast. For that Anna's earns one star. As for me, I don't expect I'll be going back at least not until Anna's flavors their meat and salsa and drops three dollars off the price of their burrito. There's no reason they should be any more than six dollars. I can find better burritos all day long in San Diego. (Yes, I will be going back to...
Read moreThis use to my family’s favorite place. We have visited multiple time throughout the years . Last week we had a special birthday for my father in law and we decided to go there . From the moment we got there Ana the owner approached us and said that she is denying us service . I asked why ? She said because my mother in law and I were the ones who started a fight a couple weeks back and surly this was not us . She got us confused and I let her know I felt insulted that she was certain it was us and was not without any kind of proof I was mind blown . How could she make such accusations only because a person might a looked alike in addition tried explaining to her that this has been a favorite place of mine for quite some time and my family nor I would do such a thing . She looked overwhelmed, overworked , stressed out . She finally sat us down , didn’t even bother to apologize. At that point we did not feel comfortable staying there and decided to leave . I am not stepping foot in this again , it’s so unfortunate but there are other Mexican places we can eat elsewhere that will serve us appropriately. I hope she has cameras she can reply the footage and see this was actually not us . If I could rate this less than a one star I would such a special night ruined...
Read moretonight we went to have dinner at this place and it was a extremely bad experience, we have visited this place a couple of times and we enjoyed it and recommended it to friends but today I will never go back and I will tell everyone how rude they are, we ordered and my mom was going to eat from my sister who is 11 yrs old plate because it's too much food for her and the only waitress which is the only one who serves there with a very nasty attitude told her it was extra $5 and that if she didn't read it from the menu we asked to cancel the enchilada not even 1 minute after her attitude and she turned to the cook with a mocking attitude if she had put the meat in the grill and turned and said we weren't able to cancel the item, as upset I was i cancelled our whole dinner because that's not how you treat your customers. the attitude she gave was very awful and even more that they are very hungry for money and they want to charge you for something that I have never seen at other restaurants it's ridiculous and the worst thing is their attitude, I will not recommend this place to no one anymore and will never be back in there and hope you change waitress because the one they have she does not know anything...
