We went here for lunch. The lunch combo is a good deal as you get an entree, appetizer and soup. I had the egg flower soup, spring roll and vegetable chow mein. I found the soup to not be very good as there was not much in it except egg whites, it was gloopy and needed more seasonings. The egg roll was very good, flaky wrap, tasty and warm. The chow mein had a great amount of vegetables but again no much seasonings. I added a lot of soy sauce, hot mustard and salt to make it better. We spent about 6 minutes waiting to be seated and finally the person sitting at a table got up and helped us. This was surprising as we were the only ones in the restaurant. The waitress was sweet and made it more fun. I probably won't be going here again for a long while as I think other places have more flavor.

The restaurant makes the most authentic Chinese food in Reno. The owners not only make authentic Sichuan food but also really tasty Jiangsu/Shanghai food. Whenever my husband and I go, we do not even look at the menu, we just ask what’s good today & we take whatever they prepare. We also ordered our Lunar New Year dinner from here and it was amazing: handmade dumplings, Nanjing salted duck, smoked fish… yum! Thank you! We will be back weekly, if not more frequent!

I strongly recommend you trying the chef's new dish: pineapple fried rice. Sweet chopped pineapple makes the fried rice more tasty. It is very good combination: the dish looks good and taste delicious.

A hidden gem. My husband and I decided to try it this evening, and were pleasantly surprised. When the menu includes Szechuan eggplant, that's a promising sign. In our experience, the best Chinese restaurants we've found tend to be the small, family owned ones. We were greeted at the front by our lovely and gracious hostess/waitress/mother of the adorable girl sitting at one of the back tables apparently doing homework. We ordered the eggplant, Mongolian beef, and the spring rolls appetizer (4). The spring rolls were hot, fresh, and delicate, crispy without being greasy. The Szechuan eggplant was cooked to perfection in a rich, spicy, dark sauce shared with summer squash and green peppers. The Mongolian beef was tender and flavorful, also moderately spicy, with green onion spears and water chestnut. It had a slightly acidic bite, that was not at all unpleasant. Even the fortune cookies were a little out of the ordinary, with different from run-of-the-mill fortunes. Prices were quite reasonable. Definitely worth checking out! (we noticed that the only negative review here was from...

OK so we are new to Reno and my wife and I saw this little restaurant and we decided to try it. First of all Customer service who is bad and second of all I found a hair in my food it was to go so I drove all the way home sat down and I began to eat the sweet and sour chicken was dried and tasted frozen the beef broccoli was flavor less and the rice as well the hot and sour soup tasted like metal so I drove back to the restaurant I told the lady the food was nasty and it had a hair in my food she told me her restaurant has been open for 20 years and people are eating the same food as me it was just my taste buds but I told her I found a hair and I was trying to feed my son and that’s just nasty she completely ignored that I found a hair in my food and she just told me OK what do you want me to do I told her I want my money back because this food is no good and she told me OK OK but you don’t come back to my restaurant and I told her OK I’m not going to come back to your restaurant and she...

I ordered General's chicken, chicken chow mein and steamed rice. The General's chicken wasn't on the menu, but they said they would make it. I'm not exactly sure what they sold me. It was dry and had very little flavor. The chow mein was comically bad. I'm not trolling It was almost totally flavorless, the chicken was burnt and (I'm not kidding) smelled like dry dog food. My intent is not bash this place, just giving an honest opinion. The steamed rice and fortune cookie we're very good and the staff was nice. I'll avoid this place in the future and if I'm ever in the neighborhood again I will go to the McDonald's across the parking lot. I don't like MacDonald's.

At least it's better than Szechuan Express. Avoid that place at all cost. My dog wouldn't even eat that nauseating garbage....
