Man. Super bummed to write this review. I’ve been coming here since the place opened. The last few years, things have gone down hill. I consistently feel like I’m annoying the waitresses. Like I’m an inconvenience. Today was really a new low though. I came in with two of my girlfriends. The first waitress asked us if we wanted drinks. We ordered a few and just opened our menus. The second waitress came over and immediately asked us if we were ready to order. No problem. We told her we needed a little bit. Not even 2 minutes later, she came back again asking us if we were ready to order. We rushed and ordered our food. Two of us finished eating and our third friend was still eating her breakfast. Mind you, two of us still had drinks to finish. The waitress put the check on the table right after giving us our food. We were there maybe an hour, still drinking our drinks. The waitress comes over and asks us if we need anything else because they need the table? I’ve never ever ever been asked to ā€œhurry upā€ so they can take our table. Meanwhile, I’m almost certain no one else was being asked to hurry up so they can have their table. Place was busy but no more than usual. There was no one waiting. Just absolutely ridiculous. I’ll never go back unfortunately. Used to be such good food and service. The service totally ruined my experiences the last 3-4 times I’ve gone. Just a huge bummer. Should never feel rushed for sitting at a table for an hour. I mean, I understand if it was a few hours and we hadn’t ordered anything but dang, we hadn’t even...

Horrible service. Horrible food. Avoid this place! We arrived at 1:45 pm for lunch, with the understanding that the restaurant was open until 3:00 pm (it says so on Apple Maps). In actuality, they closed at 2:00 pm. We ordered fish and chips after being reassured that they would not look like fish sticks; our waitress said they’d be plump and big. When they arrived, they looked long and narrow—like fish sticks! We did not have any tartar sauce with our order. We asked the waitress three times for tartar sauce, and while we were waiting, our fish was getting cold. She said that the kitchen was closed, and that it was taking so long because they couldn't find a bottle of tartar sauce. Meanwhile, they are vacuuming the carpet around us and putting up chairs. My elderly friend told the waitress that the fish wasn’t cooked thoroughly and was raw in the middle. The waitress said, ā€œIt’s not my fault, I didn’t cook it.ā€ We left the restaurant disgusted with both the food and the service and have vowed...

We’ve been there maybe 10 times now and the food has always been consistent as has the service. It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but it’s definitely worth it for the food and to support local. The one thing I would change though is the decoration. There is so much potential for nice decorating. There is a huge wood bar back, with a few glasses on it but primarily seems to be used for storage. I’ve been in there and they’ve been half empty boxes worse than that though to me personally is the delicious selection of fake flowers. There’s even a cowboy boot style vase, which has Christmas decor of some sort inside of it to me fake flowers just collect dust dirt and grime. It doesn’t help when none of them match. I will also say the last time we went I used the restrooms for the first time And they could definitely do with a fresh lick of paint and new caulking around the toilet. None of this will stop me going, but my goodness I wish I could get my hands on it because I could really make...

Sunrise Cafe: 7.5/10 The overall vibe is definitely that of your grandpa’s favorite breakfast spot haha, but the food was totally good! I asked ahead of time if the biscuits and gravy were Sysco (learned my lesson lol) and the biscuits are Bisquick, which I don’t love but isn’t a huge deal, but the gravy is homemade! My hashbrowns were perfection, my egg was a little over but not bad, and the sausage was really good! I loved my coffee drink, call me crazy but a comical amount of whipped cream is a win in my book šŸ˜‚šŸ«¶ One thing that really bumps up the numbers for me is that the portion sizes were really big!! I brought home a whole meal’s worth of leftovers 🄳 With all that said, I personally would prefer to go to the Cup Cafe for a comparable meal, I thought the food was similar but the atmosphere is cozier at the Cup. If I wanted a comparable meal and I wanted to order a fancy coffee drink (which I often do), or if I was in the mood for some more variable breakfast options, then I would go to Two Chicks, which still holds the title of my favorite breakfast in the Reno/Sparks area! šŸ˜‹ I’m headed to Josef’s next, stick around to see what I order…and what I bring home! 🫶 #reno #sparks #foodreview #fyp #nevada

The sunrise cafe has a very nice quiet atmosphere and was moderately busy. The wait staff was very polite, friendly, and quick. My wife and I noticed there were no children in the restaurant and there was no kids menu. The food was good cooked to perfection. The omelettes were pretty large compared to other breakfast restaurants I’ve been to. The food presentation was beautiful, and arranged as you would expect at a higher end restaurant. Price for the food would be $$$. For 4 adults breakfast cost me $75. At our table we had: -biscuits and gravy. They were easily the best I have ever had from a any diner or restaurant. -under the sea omelette -lobster omelette. The lobster omelette was large. At 6’1ā€ and 200 lbs. I could not finish it. The only complaint would be the lobster omelette has asparagus in it, and there seemed to use quite a bit of the fibrous end of the asparagus. Overall, I will definitely be returning here.
