Who doesnt like Denny's?? Me my husband and our 3 year old daughter were heading out for our family outting we do a few times a month. IHOP had a huge wait so our second favorite place Dennys was about 13min away so of course plan B. We get to Dennys and park. We head inside, its snowing by the way. You walk in and the most intense septic smell is just hovering like watery eyes its so intense. No name tags so we don't know anyone's names, a guy says itll be about 10-15min for a seat. He said you need to wait in your car and we will call you. Great remember it's cold because its snowing. We go sit outside in the car now its 35min later huge groups are going in and being seated. My husband goes up there to ask what happened we never got a call. Now its someone else he said he was the manager and took us rudely to a seat after mind you yelling above everyone in the restaurant at us until I realized it was us he was addressing. We get to the table no booster seat for the little one. Manager comes by throws down her menu And crayon then walks away. Some guy im assuming worked in the kitchen started yelling to another kitchen guy. The people behind us finished and the loud kitchen guy comes running up super sweet to them, mind you now we've been here got about 15 min, he walks past us. Not one person looked our way nor came to help. 20min now we're the only ones with nothing to drink and nobody's come to help. Remember theres still that septic smell and its heavy. The loud guy finally comes by rudely asks if "anyones even helped us yet"and we tell him were leaving because no we haven't been helped then he shrugged his shoulders and said rudely again "oh ok then"and walked away. As we were walking out the manager said "nobody helped you guys" all snooty we said no and he then mumbled something under his breath. Ended up going right back to good old IHOP and was not disappointed. Definitely not recommending this Denny's location haven't tried the other locations yet but will never be back...
Read moreWe went to Denny's on Wells in Reno Nevada Sunday 6/6 10:00 a.m. I had a total of 9 people with me - Service was "OK". I handed my credit card to the server Rogelio my total bill including tip was $117.84.
I was handed back my credit card and was told to have a nice day. This morning Monday 6/7 was checking my account like normal and found out that my account was OVERDRAWN due to 2 CHARGES of $117.84!!!!!
I called right away at 6:30 a.m. to the Denny's asked for the mgr and the lady took my name and number down and said the Manager would be in at 7:30 a.m. and will call me back.
I waited - no phone call - I called back at 8:20 a.m. asked for the MANAGER - and the little girl who answered the phone said she was the manager. I asked her, her name said Desirae, I told her who I was and said she has not called me back to get this resolved. She said that her GENERAL MGR was working on it and he was off today and he will call me back tomorrow. I told her that was unacceptable. She said well he knew about it yesterday because the cashier texted him and told him they double charged my card! - MIND YOU THEY DID NOT TELL ME!
So he has apparently knew about it and is working with accounting department and checking with bank. As it is NOT a Pending transaction it is a full charge.
I told Desirae well i hope you guys will be refunding my overdraft fee she said NO Just the transaction - I told her that was not happening she said I can discuss with the GM and see what he will do but they do not do that! I then told her well he needs to call me today she said NOPE! I said I will contact the Corporate office and she said in a immature way, "YA YOU GO DO THAT! So now I am on the phone for Corporate and will leave NUMEROUS REVIEWS, VIA YELP, GOOGLE, CORPORATE FB ETC. As I have not been refunded, i was not told about the second charge and I will not be getting refunded for the...
Read moreMy wife loves Denny's (in general) and for Christmas this year I got her a couple of gift cards. This morning we decided to order breakfast and then (due to COVID) go to the restaurant and pick it up. Orderning online was fairly easy and we got a confirmation -- and an email -- that our order would be ready in about 20 minutes. Since we live about that far from this location the timing would be perfect; or so we thought.
We drove to this location and my wife went inside to pick up our order. She had to repeat our last name multiple times (not a difficult name) and the guy at the front counter still didn't understand her, so she showed him the confirmation information on her phone (she would soon find out that English is a second language at this location; if you don't speak Spanish they cannot understand you).
Looking at her order the guy said "oh, that won't be ready for at least another 20 to 25 minutes". Keep in mind we are arriving at the time indicated BY DENNYS when we placed the order. So, she waited, and she waited, and she waited. While waiting she saw numerous people walk in and be turned away because allegedly the restaurant was "out of plates". Really? at 9AM on a Monday morning?
We finally got our order, frustrated by the long wait, drove home and opened the bag. Guess what? They didn't get the order right (the pancakes and english muffin that we ordered were no where to be found). They did give us like 10 packets of ketchup and a bunch of plastic knives and forks, neither of which did we order nor need.
With smoke now pouring out of her ears, my wife called the Denny's to inform them of the mistake in our order. The woman who answered the phone offered no assistance nor restitution whatsoever.
Lesson learned; stay away...stay FAR away from this location. What a waste of a Christmas gift card. Never again -- the epitome of over-promise and...
