I arrived late night into Reno. I took a walk and spoke with a few locals, which only cost me a few smokes 🤣. Each and everyone of them gave the same response when asked where they would recommend I go for breakfast: "Jack's ". So I got up early and took a walk to check this "HIDDEN GEM" out for myself. OMG sums it up - no joke, the most fantastically delicious breakfast I have had in years! Let me break it down for you... 1) I was immediately greeted when I walked through the door by a smiling waitress ready to serve me; she also helped me to choose my meal, because the menu is filled with choices hard to pass up; 2) Coffee ☕ refills without begging - very uncommon in today's climate, but very much appreciated by this guy!; 3)The place is really clean, the kitchen run like a mitary operation, and the food prepared timely; 4) The Hungry man could not be finished - the portion being extremely generous! But I wanted to ( I also didn't want to go into a food coma 😴).. the chicken fried steak was perfectly cooked, the biscuits/gravy/hashbrowns were fantastic, and my scrambled eggs 🥚 😋 were executed to a T; 5) Service and attitude of the staff was wonderful. I felt like family at Sunday dinner, no rush no fuss no worries! I loved that especially. If you are in Reno and pass up the chance to experience Jack's, you're a fool - and if you're decision making about breakfast warrants wonder, you probably shouldn't take a chance in the casinos! 🤣 Bottom lime, final statement... Jack's is for real, and it...
Read moreCame for crepes for breakfast first thing in the morning, they're Nutella, banana, and strawberry crepes, I was excited, for $4 more you can get bacon and eggs. The booth where we were seated had a gaping hole and some tears. We requested waters with lemon, one of our lemons was MOLDY 😳 When I went to order I was notified by the server they didn't have any bananas, I don't care for crepes without bananas😟, so I ordered bacon and eggs with English muffin, which was just "okay." It was $15.50 - prices have gone way up and quality has gone WAY down, how do you put a moldy lemon wedge on a water glass? We never got a replacement lemon wedge at all.. I've been in the serving industry for 30 years so things like this make me very worried about everything else we ordered. There was NO price adjustment for the inconvenience of having to order something else (they could go right to the gas station next door and grab a few bananas off the front counter for their breakfast orders or crepes), coffee is close to $5 if you include tax, they charge CC fees here so bring cash or your bill may be another $2!! Almost $40 just for breakfast, although the table attendant was very attentive at filling coffee and making sure our waters were full, this whole experience has left me unable to return. Bummer, it's been 8 years since I've visited Jack's, now I...

This not a complaint
Only draw back, and I hope the owner sees this because they were not in house at the time… When we seated our server asked if we’d like a beverage, I asked for O.J. , server asked if i’d like fresh squeezed. Yes please. It was delicious. Now I’m used to up an extra dollar or so for fresh squeezed. This was $8 (reg. OJ is $3) Server didn’t mention the price. I asked for the supervisor and spoke to her. I explained ( without expecting anything in return) this felt like bait and switch. I explained the servers should mention the price difference when offering off the menu to customers. Her blank response was “well it’s on the board”. The board she she was referring to was on the ground right where you walk in. When someone steps in the door and stands to wait to be seated it’s blocked. I asked who can see that? She shrugged and gave me a blank stare( ok I’m giving her a pass because maybe she was tired, serving food is hard work) but I asked if she stood my concern and hang up the sign maybe sell more specials.I got “Okay “. Over all good meal. I would recommend it just beware the little extra your...
