I have given this Starbucks chance after chance to make up for all the dissapointing visits. But they are 0 for 8 so I cant give my money here anymore. Not only is the staff not friendly except for 2 of them they take FOREVER! Expect to sit atleast 15 to 20 mins in the drive thru everytime. One of the times I thought okay, I only have 1 car in front of me with just two people in it and I sat for 18 mins. Now Im thinking okay maybe they ordered a lot? Nope they got handed only two drinks and it wasnt even busy on the inside. So Ive tried going inside instead of the drive thru 3 different times. Each time I have ordered 2 drinks one for me and one for my boyfriend and every single time they give you 1 drink, then 3 to 4 other peoples drinks come out then your 2nd drink comes out! Yes they dont make anything in order, ever! Now its been a good month since Ive been here I decided to give it another try. I order a grande peppermint mocha thats it. This time it didnt take very long at all great, I was the only person in the drive thru. I start driving home and its deffintely not what I ordered. What they gave me from my guess was a latte of some sort with and ungodly amount of peppermint. I like peppermint but the normal amount. And it wasnt a white chocolate peppermint mocha because Ive had that before and I like those too so I would have just kept it. I was trying to like this drink because normally I will just deal with it but it was undrinkable. I tried pawn it off to a friend but they couldnt drink it either. So I had to drive this one back. Of course guy was rude (the skinny guy with the beard with no nametag)! The girl there was really nice and asked if I got a holiday sticker for my drink before I could answer the guy answered for me saying I did get one. Not sure how he would know because it wasnt him who helped me in drive thru but okay I just didnt say anything. From now on Ill continue to go 2 blocks up the road to the Starbucks on Robb Dr in the Rayles parking lot where they are always nice and fast and their drinks...
Read moreStarbucks is doing themselves a major disservice with their employee Alyssa (she has curly red hair often up in a bun) at the drive thru window. This lady lacks tact, and customer service that Starbucks has been known for.
On two occasions, we have pulled through the drive thru with a mobile app order to be told, "This is the busiest Starbucks in Reno - and they need more time to process orders. If we wanted to wait - and it wasn't ready by the time we reached the front window - then we will be forced to circle around and try again." Not only we're we past the estimated pick-up time on the app, how is this any different from placing a scratch order as a drive thru customer itself? You placed the order, you wait and get it by the time you reach the front service window.
The second time she told us that we need to pay attention to the app and the wait time on it. While we screenshot and arrived at the estimated pick-up time (which was 4 minutes)- by the time we reached the service window we were past the estimated pick-up time and Alyssa was yet again the drive thru employee at this exact location. Second time we encountered this lovely sun-faced gem who not only happened to purposefully face away - this time she was the only employee without her name tag apron on that day. I have a gut feeling - we aren't the only ones to have encountered this employee and feel that she could have done a better job - at her actual job... we made sure to go in and ask for her name since this was a 2x circumstance of encountering her and her attitude.
She has no smile, no tact and acts like everyone is a burden to her time. I understand one off day, but this is this employee's attitude every day of the week. Alyssa needs to have a lesson in customer service. Or a refresher on normal...
Read moreThis location has had a slow descent over time. A long while back, it was great here. Even about a year ago, it was better than it is now.
Customer service is not good at all here. Some of these people are unkind to the point of being quite rude.
I stopped ordering my favorite drink here after one of the baristas told me it was inconvenient for them to have to make this because they are busy. Get that - I had to switch to a different drink when I come to this location, because they are "the busiest store in reno" and i guess customers are an inconvenience.
A few times, baristas have expressed their displeasure at having to remake a drink - this is despite the drink being made poorly or even incorrectly.
While this poor attitude is commonplace, it is by no means shared by everyone working here. There are some really kind people here who are always super awesome.
In my opinion, there needs to be a shake-up with shift supervisors. These people have to know this kind of behavior is happening and seem unwilling or unable to take effective, corrective action. In my experience, when there are more than a couple people acting out of line, it's typically a management issue. And that's where I would start in this instance.
Starbucks has a reputation for its culture and values. And the culture and values demonstrated here just doesn't...
