The WORST customer service I’ve experienced in a long time, first time in Reno, NV. We stopped at the outlets next door and they recommended us this place for decent prices on the seafood. Right off the bat “the sign to not me on phone while ordering” I knew wasn’t gonna be a good experience then while we are ordering she got mad because I said 1 taco at first then changed my might right away and said 2. She gave the meanest glare at the paper, and it was like that ruined her whole day! I understand being in a restaurant for long periods of time can be draining but if you literally hate your job so much you should quit! The shrimps in my food were old and over cooked and the salsa was so effin hot!!! Never in my life have I ever had such spicy Camarones a la diabla it’s almost like she told the cook to add in a habanero I ate it regardless cause I love spicy but they def did that on purpose. And the coctel of seafood also had old seafood in it we go to mariscos wherever we can and this was by far the worst! Please save your time and money and find another spot. I feel bad for putting this out there but this lady needs to find something she will love doing instead of being blatantly ...
Read moreYou can order over the telephone and pick it up and your order is exactly as you ordered. They will give you the time frame to pick it up and it's very accurate actually. They have an amazing menu and very competitive pricing. The combo platters have beans and rice both are absolutely delicious and they have the authentic Hispanic crumbly cheese on top of them yum yum 😋 They have all of the authentic Hispanic food as well as a great seafood plate selection. I love their combination platters. I also really really really really really really really really really really love their green sauce. It's fabulous. 👌🏻 I am not a big fan of the teeny tiny enchiladas though which I think are corn. I like the flour tortillas better with regard to enchiladas. I would rather get two flour tortilla enchiladas then three teeny tiny corn enchiladas but that's just me. Otherwise I have nothing bad to say about them. There are a very popular restaurant and their food is absolutely delicious and their services superb. The best refried beans...
Read moreLet me Qualify my Opinion: You guys, Im from the peninsula, SF bay area and have ate more than my fair share of Mexican food. I lived in Sacramento after as I've been making my way from home, the less authentic the Mexican food has become, some of it downright gross and most of it, disappointing. As a chef, Im also heavily involved in the food community everywhere in California. I moved to Reno six months ago with my love who's family owns a Mexican restaurant in Stockton, CA.
My Review: I wish I had found this place sooner because I mightve have moved way before I actually did. The tamales are never dry, pizole is to die for (my only gripe with that is that I would've preferred cabbage to lettuce but hey!), carne en su jugo wasn't bland or overly salty, tomatillo sauce ON POINT. I LOVE the tripa tacos and get them about once a week, extra toasted. It doesn't matter if you are eating inside or taking the food to go, it is consistently amazing and I wont go anywhere else for my mexican food...
