I have not visited this restaurant for about 8 or 9 years and wanted to take my 6-year-old daughter there to eat on the patio for a belated birthday breakfast today. We arrived, were seated, and placed our orders. Moments later, in a fully packed area of the patio, our server came back and loudly announced that I needed to speak to the manager on his cell phone because I didn't pay my bill the last time I was at the restaurant. I was shocked and confused and told him I haven't been to the restaurant since before my daughter was born. He then loudly insisted I didn't pay my bill on my last visit. At this point, multiple tables were looking my way as he had made quite a spectacle.
I told him I was happy to speak to the manager ("Boss Lady C" in his phone), and she came on the phone assuring me I had not paid my bill two weeks ago when I visited and said it was on surveillance. I asked her to please show me the surveillance so I could prove it wasn't me as I hadn't visited in nearly a decade; to which she replied she didn't have it anymore. I reiterated that I had literally not stepped foot in the restaurant in years.
She then said she "believed me", that the server must have mistaken me for someone else, and to "enjoy my meal." I let her know I was utterly offended and would be leaving the establishment immediately. As her response, she told me she was offended by people not paying their bills, which doesn't exactly resonate as a professional response to me. My 6-year-old daughter was so upset and sobbing at this point, and we walked out with everyone in the restaurant watching; an utterly mortifying experience I cannot believe I had to go through. I have never in my life left a bill unpaid and have NEVER been treated this way by a business. To say I'm upset would be a vast understatement.
I understand that theft at businesses is rampant, and business owners have to do what is right for their establishment. I'm not quite sure what your company's protocol is in these situations, however, loudly announcing your FALSE accusations in the middle of the restaurant is absolutely uncalled for and mortifying for an innocent customer who was trying to have a nice birthday breakfast with their daughter. Perhaps speaking with someone privately just in case there is such an occasion as today where your server is blatantly accusing the wrong person, would be the way to go so you can provide your patrons the dignity they deserve. I certainly hope there will be some re-structuring and re-training taking place with your staff so you can save other customers the undue embarrassment and false accusations my daughter and I experienced in your place of business this morning. I am disgusted and will NEVER step foot in this...

Great food (both times), like, delicious and well loved. Service 1/5, mainly due to the greeter, but once past that, the food has been sooooo good, on both occasions.
Review : Yesterday we went all over the place hahaha but we finally landed at Stone house.. Jenjen looked at the whole menu and narrowed it down to 3ish dishes, then 1. rkr94993owkroeofsog !! 💚🍏
It was advertised as a Eggplant + Portobello mushroom (open faced, on a multi grained bread slice) sandwich with roasted red and yellow bell peppers and swish cheese; but she didn't want that, so after some brainstorming, she hahahaha went with what she really wanted : Remove the eggplant, keep the portobello and everything else and add a thick, juicy burger....ahhh and as for the 'open face', CLOSE IT (add another multigrain slice on top)! Wow wow wooow... that thing she created.... aii aii aiiiii. What she created can easily be a staple dish, imo.
I had a "spring mix" that differ by a lot of your typical spring mix.. These people actually tried.. Jicama, chickpeas, pine nuts, bleu cheese... and 4-5 more ingredientes. I just swapped their default dressing with the oriental choice.
Both dishes together were .... 🤤🤤🤤🤤
I've tried 5-7 dishes and all of them have been delicious, dddddddelicious !
Now, expanding on the service comment, as I said, the greeter can be unnecessarily heavy, cynical and aggressive ; that sais, I feel she is doing her best ; that said, she has a loooot of an air of confidence.
The server we got our first time was suuuuper accommodating, great server. This last time, when we sat outside, the guy seemed to be always in a rush and dry.
Example1 we got there and my partner was trying to pic the coziest stop outside but he rushed us, even though patronage wasn't high. We ended up moving on our own, afterwards.
Example2 I asked for the burger to be cut in half, when we put in the order, as we planned on sharing it. The burger arrived whole (via the runner) and at some point, the server rush to through a serrated knife for us to cut it, not realizing the runner had already given us one. We also made a mess trying to cut that masterpiece.
I would've rated the restaurant lower, due to 2/3 people that I've interacted with, but the food quality, wow, I couldn't.
I want to thank the exec chef and the people that are executing those dishes.
Thank you, thank you... THANK...
Read moreWhen my wife and I first came in, we found no server, matrede, or anyone at the front there to give us a table. We walked to the back of the place to find a waitress sitting down rolling napkins and asked her where we got seated and she lead us to the front and told us to wait for someone else. I ordered the Stonehouse hamburger and it was a massive patty that was way too thick causing the meat that I had ordered to be medium rare to end up well done on the edges and raw in the middle. The hamburger was so dry that I had to use ketchup from the table to give it some sort of hope to be edible. I asked for no lettuce, tomato, or pickle, of which I was happy they were able to ablidge. But the onions on it were raw, not even have had touched the cook surface for a moment, they were small slices. I could tell it was a red onion because I had the peal still connected to them. The only saving grace from this horrible tasting but pretty looking meal was the French fries, which were pretty good. The amount I received, however, was severely lacking in quantity. I asked for a side of ranch too dip them in (ended up on my hamburger too try and save it.) I was happy with it until I receive the check and saw THEY CHARGED $1.50 FOR RANCH AS A SIDE!!!!!!! I have never been charged for ANY sort of sauce. My drink was a Dr. Pepper and it was unharmoniously pourded into my glass, making a splash from the can on my table. Then they left me the can. If I am paying for a drink, I don't want to be the one pouring it after you first pour it. Good thing they have a bar for those of you who drink (I am a teetotaler) I myself can't say they are good but at this place I wouldn't think it would matter, because you would have to be drunk to even enjoy the place. Weird decorations of eyeballs, mouths, and other stuff like that, and then a nice fireplace with a "family atmosphere."" Food bad, service bad, CHARGED ME FOR MY DIPPING SAUCE!!!!, small portion, lazy waitress who was never around, and an ugly confusing place to be with a...
