Update: Aug 15, 2023: I will never eat here again. The service at the restaurant has always been indifferent, but this time it was abysmal. We had reserved a patio space through RESY (they have specific slots for indoor vs outdoor dining) for a special occasion weeks in advance. To my surprise, they gave away my space, quoting "weather concerns". This was confusing to me as they were still seating outside. After much argument with the manager/owner it seems possible that they changed our reservation to accommodate a reservation for a large party outside. Whatever the reason was, we were not offered anything other than "it is not my fault; I do not have a space outside". No amount of good food makes up for this kind of bad treatment. Needless to say, we walked out and had to scramble to find another restaurant open on a Tuesday. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Exceptionally good food. The appetizers of raviolo uovo and the grilled maitake mushrooms over fried polenta was perfection. The chicken saltimboca was very good too. The menu has lots of options, all sound good. Prices are very reasonable if you take the portions into account, which are large. Wine list is interesting, but could be better. Our cocktail (Negroni Sbagliato) was, frankly, disappointing; the bite of the gin was replaced by a much milder prosecco. Service could be definitely improved. Our wines never arrived on time, in fact, the dishes arrived before the wines, which is unusual, so we never had the wine with the dish it was intended for. Also, they could do with a little more knowledge of an Italian meal; our server was surprised when we told them that we would have the salad at the end of the meal. However, they were all very courteous and friendly. The atmosphere inside is a bit too sterile and COLD! Bring a jacket, they have the AC on full blast.

Fantastic little place for a great meal. The food is delicious and the service is on point. Everyone was attentive and the staff works very well as a team. The owners are present and visit each table, checking in and having friendly conversation. There are only a handful, maybe eight or so tables, plus two high tops, and eight seats at the bar. There aren't many seatings in an evening, which is why they request earlier seatings to be mindful and not linger after a meal. During the warmer season there are patios available. I highly recommend making a reservation through Resy, though if your party is 6 or more they request you call them. For starters we orders the ravioli uovo, chef's crudo (tonight it was hamachi), olives, and bread and butter. Each were delicious, though the ravioli was definitely my favorite. I'd rate it as one of the best I've ever had and I'd order this on every return if it's on the menu. For dinner I ordered the fettuccine carbonara. It was absolutely delicious, and made to perfection. The single glass wine menu is appropriate made to complement any item on the menu, though if you're wanting a bottle there are several other great choices. Kudos to the team for creating such a delightful experience. I very much look forward to returning.

In a delightful turn of events, this restaurant has redeemed itself beautifully. While my dining companion’s prior visit was less than memorable, this evening’s experience left no such room for doubt. Everything was executed with precision and care. We began with a house mocktail and a glass of the recommended Cabernet Sauvignon. The mocktail was refreshing and well-balanced, while the wine opened nicely and paired confidently with the courses to follow. The appetizer, a crab cake brimming with tender Dungeness crab, was a standout. It was crisply seared and pleasingly unadorned, allowing the quality of the crab to shine. For our mains, we selected the pappardelle with burrata and the New York strip steak with brisket and fried potatoes. The pasta was silky and comforting, elevated by the creamy burrata that added a gentle richness. The steak was beautifully seasoned and perfectly cooked. Its robust flavor was complemented by the crisp, golden potatoes and the depth of the Cabernet. Fresh ingredients, thoughtful seasoning, and a clear attention to detail were evident in every dish. I will most certainly return.

Valentine’s Day ripoff! Wife and I made a reservation for Valentine’s Day. No mention of price fix menu until arriving, also no price listed. Nothing on their website or Facebook that would suggest this is happening. Forced into 4 course dinner, whatever. 1st course, deep fried ribs, very fatty with lots of tiny bones that had to be picked out. 2nd course, admittably delicious gnocchi, kudos. 3rd course, fatty COUNTRY FRIED STEAK with undercooked potato dauphinoise. The menu just said steak so you can imagine our surprise. 4th course, scoop of vanilla ice cream on bread with cut up strawberries and bonne maman preserves or an uninspired chocolate mousse.

All the food was just fine and we were guessing what the bill would be as the price was not listed. We were ultimately shocked to see the price fix was $99 per person price, not including anything else. Absurd for a meal that included a country fried steak, pasta and short ribs. Ghastly. The table next to us complained, we got such bad second hand embarrassment that we decided to shut up and leave. Not that it mattered because nobody asked for our feedback on the meal.

This was our first time at Kitchen Table, we were hoping to find a new favorite spot but after our experience we will have to really consider if we will be coming back. I’ll give my money to any steak house...
