Wild Garlic Pizza & Pub — Restaurant in Reno

Cute place and service maybe would be better if we weren't such a big group. It's an odd concept, it's essentially a walk up and order place so it's not really table service. There is a full bar but there's no bartender really. The guy working behind the bar could not make a proper margarita or a Manhattan and it took forever. They gave us an extra pizza because apparently they felt one of the pizzas was too burnt on the crust? They gave away a lot of free pizza as we over heard 2 other customer groups while we were there also getting free pizza. I couldn't really eat any of it. Our group pretty much only ate the pepperoni pizza. Me being not a fan of pepperoni I ordered a small veggie. It was more like a salad on top of pizza dough rather than actual pizza but it was edible. Unlike the other pizzas which were awful. Way too doughy, mushy, and flavorless. Not for me. And on top of that you gave to get your own plates, kept by the door, get your own water behind the counter near the bathrooms, and request silver ware which is kept underneath register I think? I don't get it. I guess the best thing about it which people seemed to live was huge pots of honey on the table for you to dunk all that left over doughy pizza crust into for dessert. Definitely not Italian...

I used to love this place! I honestly don’t think I will ever go back though.

We came in on a Sunday, it wasn’t that busy. We ordered two slices and some pesto knots.

When we were close to finishing our pizza, I noticed we had never gotten our pesto knots. I walked up and asked the hostess/waitress and she said she would check in on them. I waited at the counter for 5 minutes, she never returned, I sat back down.

30 minutes goes by, still no pesto knots, the hostess had just been sitting at the entrance this whole time.

I finally walked up and just asked for my money back. She was shocked we hadn’t received them yet. She was the only one running food out!

She was unable to process the refund, and asked if they were sitting back there, would we like them still… I declined.

I never got the refund, which wasn’t honestly that surprising.

It didn’t help that you pay up front, so I had tipped 20%, assuming I’d at the very least get the food I ordered and some half decent service. My mistake.

It really sucks this place has gone downhill this bad. I love supporting local businesses, but I can’t ever see myself returning...

This place has gone down hill, our pizza was dropped and had to wait longer for another one, understanding accidents happen I was happy to wait. When it came out it was overloaded with onions and the honey badger pizza had zero honey. The appetizer came with basil. There was zero basil. Being our spot, decided to give it another shot. When we walked in the first words out of the severs mouth was if your looking for the coffee bar this isn't it. Not hearing him I said huh? He repeated, not understanding him again I replied I don't know what that is... He then said well we aren't ready for pizza for another 20 mins so.... I said ok and just left. Rude as hell! A better introduction to your establishment would have been hi welcome in unfortunately we aren't open for another 20 mins if you don't mind waiting.... you just lost me...
