The Sub Marina — Restaurant in Republic

I know they are new, but ordering tonight was difficult. I'm not saying this to bash them, but hopefully for someone in charge to see things that can be improved. I'll eventually come back once they have had more time to get into the swing of things.

No one answered the phone and their voicemail says to order online but their online ordering doesn't work. I ended up going there to order and it was a mess. They had 6 teens on the line and at least 3 people in the back. Despite saying I wanted every sandwich as it came except the substitutions I made clear of at the beginning with the girl who took my order, I was asked 3 different times during the process what I wanted on the sandwiches. I was ordering for other people so I said I wanted it as ordered. They messed up the order for the people in front of me and had to quickly make the right thing. When I brought the sandwiches home every single one of them was wrong. Part of that is on me who should have been watching better, but I also ordered with the requested substitutions at the beginning. No crazy substitutions either, just switching sauces and cheeses on a couple, and one I ordered exactly as it came. Also some of the girls working the line have string type bracelets that touch the food in the bins while making...

I always like to start with positives and then go from there.

Positives, the size of the sub and the amount of meat and toppings that come on said sub, so much so if you get a large to adults, can share one large by splitting . the workers were very efficient and pleasant to talk to. They were very friendly. Finally, the menu is set up pretty simple and easy to understand and with only having a regular and a large size sub it just makes the ordering process pretty simple straightforward.

Negatives, the large subs start out at $15 and I think they hover around that price, I bought three subs and only the subs no chips or drinks and it cost $50 basically so you have to be prepared for the cost. I hate to say this, but even with their sub sauce the sandwiches were kind of bland in the bread and meat just didn’t get much flavor.

My wife and I tried this place today in Republic, for the first time. Ordered online and she went and picked up our subs on her way home. SHE claims the place was very nice, clean and very friendly. I, personally was very disappointed.

Lol, There was no way I was going to finish that whole sub. Holy mackerel that thing was huge. What an outstanding sandwich. The rolls are the best I've had in decades. Its really awesome that there's a sandwich shop here in town that rocks. And they nailed the online order and had it ready when we wanted it. You might think the prices are a bit steep but you most definitely get what you pay for. I can't wait to try other things on their menu. I'm a customer from now on. We love this little local shop.
