Valsos Table and Bar — Restaurant in Revere

I had the worst experience ever at Valsos.. I have been to Valsos many times, and my boyfriend friends, and I usually have a good time. However, on May 14th, My boyfriend and I went during the night, and we waited 30 min for two cocktails plus an additional 45 min for just one burger. We understand it was crowded, but we also got overcharged for the burger. Also, a 20% tip was automatically added to the bill without our authorization. I always like to tip 20%, but at this time, did not believe the service provided warranted it. When we spoke with the Manager, Alex, he basically threw the bill at us, said he would cancel the tip, and said he hoped not to see us again. We left with a sour taste in our mouths and paid the bill. On our way out, the Manager Alex came running after us, claiming to call the police because, according to him, "we did not pay." We did pay the bill, and he did not process the cancellation of the tip. He made a false accusation and threatened to call the police. I had never experienced such an uncomfortable time in any place, and we hope none of the customers have the same experience as ours because of Manager Alex. I'm not sure what kind of training this person was given, but I hope the restaurant does something about it to prevent any experience like that. I’m giving 0 stars. I was looking for an Italian restaurant to dine in with my kids.Other places were booked so I continued my search.Ended up finding this place. I decided to call and find out if they had seatings. I spoke to a gentleman on the phone he did inform me there wasn’t seating s in the restaurant but in the cafe.Since I was starving and craving Italian food I said I don’t mind. I made it a mission to ask him will I be able to order food at the cafe and he said yes.Well when I got there one waitress looked at me and walked away.The other finally addressed me and had a man go sit at the bar.Ushered me to come sit at the table. I’m like no way and I asked if she was going to wipe down the table and she nodded yes.Then I’m given a menu as I’m looking at it I don’t see any of the food advertised.So I call the waitress and she tells me they don’t serve the same food but she will ask the boss if it’s ok since I told her he told me we would be served at the cafe .She comes back and tells me he said no and they served different menus.Mind you I drove 17 minutes with two hungry kids thinking we found our spot.The manager never came out to address me so I gathered my hungry children and left.Poor customer service, misleading, and there is different strains of COVID killing people.
