I stayed 4 nights at this hotel. It's newer, the beds are comfy, bathrooms are nice, and overall it was a nice hotel room. I saw others complain on here about noise -- I did not experience any noise issues. Three things the hotel can really improve on:
They don't tell you that you need to hang a sign on your doorknob if you want housekeeping to bring you more towels, take out trash, etc. We were never told that and I have never had to do that at a hotel (and I've stayed at my fair share, including other Holiday Inns). I appreciate LOADS that we had a continental breakfast; however, come on Holiday Inn; you can do better. We had four breakfasts here and it was always the same, all four days except one day there was bacon instead of sausage. Give us some variety and fruit dude. The price; $300/night during the week after taxes is a bit steep! I know it's by Boston, but... come on. It's not even downtown Boston.
OK, now to the positives! I called the hotel after we had our luggage at the airport and a free shuttle came and picked us up; it was there in less than 5 minutes! The shuttle driver was very nice and what a nice perk to have a shuttle take you for free to the hotel from the airport. We arrived too early for checkin, but they did put our luggage in a locked room so that was good. The hotel is also a ~5 minute walk to the subway station, another plus. The hotel room is pretty nice and what you'd hope from a Holiday Inn; cozy bed, tiny fridge, nice big bathroom and nice shower! We let the front desk know two days ahead of time we needed a shuttle bus to take us to the airport and they put us on the list. The shuttle bus driver was very nice and arrived on time. Again, a great free perk to be driven straight to the airport from the hotel!
I want to give this hotel 5/5 but I can't until they take care of the housekeeping thing, have better breakfast, and lower the price to at least $250. I do appreciate it was convenient (hotel shuttle bus, close to subway, continental breakfast) to stay at this hotel, vs staying downtown Boston for...
Read moreWe needed a place near the airport for convenience for a later flight in for a decent price for two nights. Our big priorities are comfortable beds, breakfast included & airport transportation.
I like that the hotel is almost new. Our kids are picky so variety for breakfast is key. I like that they rotate daily the main items such as waffles, pancakes & eggs which were not dried out and flavorless like most breakfast buffet options. I did overhear one guest complain about the meat choice has always been sausage for the week she’s stayed there. Personally I was ok with that but I could see it be disappointing. It was nice that there was a bar to grab a quick drink at. They have a small food menu too. It was very busy with a baseball team staying at the hotel. We decide to opt for pizza delivery instead.
We didn’t use the pool but it looked nice but is small.
Gym is decent size with nice workout options.
We grabbed some waters & snacks at the grocery store about 2 blocks away. There’s a Target there as well for anything you need. We weren’t at the hotel much as we did the touristy site seeing during the day.
Beds were very comfy everyone slept really well. Ask for extra pillows if you’re like me who sleeps with 2-3 as they’re too flat and hard to sleep on only one.
Only negative is the room size which was tight for two adults and two teenagers. They are connected to the Staybridge Suites which probably has bigger rooms but nothing was available.
One thing to point out is across the street they’re remodeling what looks like the old dog/horse track at Suffolks Down to a huge complex with shopping, dining & apartments which will have a very nice array of options and this hotel location will be...
