I placed an order online for pick-up through the drive thru. It wasn't anything fancy, large, nor complex - just a burger, fries, and I asked for a couple of their sauces. Upon arriving, I gave my order number at the intercom, and was asked to pull up.
When I got to the window, the young woman asked if I was the online order, and I confirmed. She shoved the bag of food out the window, nearly tossing it my way, like it were a grenade, and promptly shut the window.
Knowing that sometimes, employees in fast food are crunched for time, I took no offense, but given there was no one else waiting behind me. I did quickly open the bag and just make sure everything was there and right: it was not.
The most troubling part was the manner in which the employee obstructed providing any condiments. The ones I requested they didn't apparently have in stock. Fine, I understand that, but when I and which ones they did have, she said, "Well, it depends, which one are you wanting?" Up until this point, I was calm, collected, and cordial, despite her actions not warranting such decorum.
I asked to speak to the manager, at which point, a larger male approached, asked what the problem was. I promptly and succinctly told him what had transpired, and he just seemingly laughed that I wanted sauces or condiments or to not be so blatantly disrespected.
Lastly, the entirety of the situation was already frustrating, but during the course of it, it became downright insulting. When they were huddling inside, behind the closed drive thru window, I believe I heard a racial epithet used. Things only continued to go downhill thereafter.
All employees and management at this location could benefit from not only some customer service training, but people training. Clearly "The Golden Rule" (i.e., Treat others the way you'd want to be treated.) was never impressed upon them and, if it was, it's clearly not something that's...
Read moreThe item #15 on the menu "Chicken Fajita Pita" is a horrible joke. Its a nightmare. Its an insult to common sense. Jack in the box, stop extorting money from your customers. Here is why: this item is $5.39 + tax. The fajita pita is just a tinny little bag, smaller than your hand size. On top of that, they boldly and shamefully refuse to fill it up. All they put in there is 3 or 4 tiny pieces of chicken with couple of tomatos and cheese about the size of your finger. This product is more likely costing them not even a dollar and they are selling it for $5.39 + tax, thus making millions out of it for the company. I would rather get Whataburger,s Chicken fajita taco which is at least full of chicken and bell peppers and stuff. Or I would go to Taco Cabana or Taco Bell or even 7/11,s $3 sandwiches are much better. Mr. District manager for this N Plano RD location, Garland, TX, have a check on your employees. May be they are eating half of the stuff before filling up your so called Fajita Pita. Customers! Be reasonable and stop buying this item from them. I bought it last night and after 5 mints took it back to the drive through window to complain about the size of it. This has happened 2nd time. The guy at the drive through window said, he couldn,t do anything about it as this gets done by the morning prep. Well, he could have at least offered me a replacement for something else as I still hadn,t eaten it. F------ you, morning prep. Stop eating stuff from your...
Read moreThis Jack in the Box is hit or miss. I visit here often for lunch while at work and sometimes the tacos are awesome like they should be but about half the time you get something less than desired. The other day I got tacos and most of them were half filled at best. And if you order multiple tacos (I ordered 8 on this day) make sure you check how many hot sauce packets they give you at the drive thru. I didn't and even though I got 8 tacos, I only was given 3 saucr packets. I would hope for at least one per taco but mostly I don't want to pay for a taco and only get half of one. Kitchen needs to do better! They are rushing these too much and not caring enough about how they make the food. I remember you used to go to jack in the box and everything would be fresh and that's why the line took so long, now you get through the line faster but the food seems like it was made a half hour ago sometimes.
Got to add a new update to this, went here today and got tacos again and they tasted awful. They had this charred taste that was like eating off an extremely dirty and burnt grill. I will update that the tacos have been filled with proper amounts of beef since my last review but I would have rather had half filled tacos that were edible. I'm sure someone just didn't clean the cooking surface well enough because I've visited here many times and never had tacos taste like this but today they were just gross. Burnt grill surface is not a...
