I was mildy assaulted by a store employee in the store and the manager, Scott, would not even return my calls when I called to tell him about it. The incident started when I was trying to purchase a behind-the-counter allergy medication. A person has to wait a certain number of days before they can buy it since the last time time it was purchased.
No one in the pharmacy knew how many days I had to wait until I could purchase it again. They gave they me an 800 number to "customer service" to call. I called the 800 number and it was an outsourced number to some guy in India that barely spoke English and was very arrogant.
I went to the front of the store to "guest relations" and asked a girl there if she knew of another number I could call or was there any other way to find out. She gave me the same 800 number that the pharmacy had given me. I called it and it was the same guy again. Just as before, I couldn't get him to understand anything I was saying and finally hung-up.
I then asked to speak with the manager on duty. They called her to come to the front of the store and it was about 30 minutes before she showed up. Her name was Sophe or Sophie with a very thick middle eastern accent an had short dyed blonde hair. I told her about my situtation and instead of offering to help me, she starts arguing with me. I advised her that since she was the manager on duty, she needed to assist customers instead of being combative with them.
She then became very aggressive, stepping forward to me and grabbed my wrist in a twisting manner. I jerked my wrist away and told her I was going to call the police on her for assualt. I then asked for the regular store manager's name and she refused to give it to me. A very nice young girl behind the customer service counter gave it to me and I left.
I made repeated calls the the regular store manager, Scott, and left messages with his secretary or assistant. He never returned any of my calls and then after about the fifth call, his secretary would just put me on hold indefinately. I finally called the Richardson Police and filed assault charges against Sophie.
The police obtained the video tape of the assault from the store. After viewing the tape, I was told that since she really did not strike me in any fashion, they could not move forward with an assualt charge. I really wanted Sophie to do some jail time and teach her that in America, store managers don't treat customers the way she treated me. Maybe in her country, assaulting customers is the norm.
A little while went by and I never heard from anyone at Target after making numerous calls and leaving messages. I finally found the corporate number in Minnesota and spoke to a lady there. She said the store manager, Scott, had never even made a report of the incident. She seemed to dismiss everything and said she would write down what I told her but there is nothing she could do.
I have never been treated with such hostility and indifference by store employees like I was at this Target. Since they don't seem to care if their managers assault customers, I would advise everyone to stay away from this store for you may get assaulted by Sophie. She is probably still there as I don't think she was...
Read moreI had ordered Apple Watch series 7 from Target last week and selected home delivery option. They shipped my parcel through FedEx, who delivered an empty box on my door! When I opened it, I felt it unusually light and when opened, box was empty. I immediately called Target customer service and they said their investigation team will investigate but suggested me not to worry as they have been receiving similar complaints from other customers! After 3-4 days, they sent an email saying their investigation is complete and they found no problem with the delivery, obviously going by the photo that FedEx delivery person must have clicked after placing an empty box at my door. I could clearly see Target seal was broken on the back side of the box (to take the watch out), and another piece of tape was put over it to seal the empty box before delivering it on my door. It's so easy for a delivery guy who wants to steal stuff to take it out from the backside, tape it again and keep the packing facing upside on the doorstep and then take a photo for proof of delivery! My question is: why does Target not require a signature for a tech product's delivery that's almost 400-500$! Apple does not ask their delivery people to just leave their products on the doorstep without asking for a signature from the recipient. Amazon has better customer service and gives customer the benefit of the doubt and returns the money in such cases. But now in this case, neither Target nor their delivery partner, FedEx, is willing to take any financial responsibility for their theft and my loss. I will highly recommend everyone to stay away from Target home delivery service and especially FedEx, as they have no systems in place to avoid theft or to investigate such theft by their own...
Read moreI have never had any problems with my target returns. EVER. Until today, that is. I love target. But After today, I am so tempted to never go back. I attempted to return address. Which now, I understand was not returnable because of it being part of a Kate Spade promotion. It was one day past the return date. Of course I would’ve liked a little grace. Being that it was not even 24 hours past the return due date. The team member said she could not do that, but that she would call her manager and ask. And this is when things became so Unpleasant. The manager-Linh-At this Richardson Square location, was the absolute rudest most dismissive And unprofessional person I have ever encountered in retail. She has absolutely no business in my opinion, being in a customer service industry. She could have conveyed to me how sorry she was for not being able to return the item, Because of policies, etc. Many times it’s not what we say, but how we say it. She was completely devoid of Emotional intelligence. It was as if she didn’t even have a soul. It was very clear to me that she absolutely did not care about how I felt. And as a representative of target at that moment, She gave target such a bad name. So bad that I am seriously considering not...
