So I decided to give this place a try and was looking forward to an amazing experience. Sad to say, that it was a very disappointing experience. I don’t know where to start. Maybe I should have turned right around as soon as I entered the establishment. The entrance was blocked by a table and chairs, people standing around without masks so oblivious to the ongoing pandemic, talking, hugging and kissing. But foolishly I decided to enter and order my food. Ordered chicken shawarma meal and gyros meal with side of hummus. I was told 10 min, went outside, can’t back 15 min later, was told 10 more minutes, came back 15 minutes later, was told 10 more minutes, came back 15 minutes later and got my order. Went to the car to ensure I had my order, I had everything but my gyros meal was just a sandwich and the rest was missing. Went back inside, waited another 5 minutes just to get the rest of the meal. Now for the food, how is it possible to get greasy chicken shawarma? It dripped with grease! Disgusting! Then the gyros it was so hard so old so dry that it literally cut my gums!!! So so disappointed!! Bad food, bad service and no control over CDC guidelines!!...
Read moreThere will always seem to be a common theme to whenever I visit and review a place - it will always be the fact that I almost never change what I eat upon visiting a place after the first visit.
These place was one of the few locations I visited during my single week off for summer vacation from work. Since I never really changed what I eat at the time, I decided that this will be the place to change that particular issue. It is certainly different from the burgers and sandwiches that go into my belly from the other places I been to and reviewed.
For one, this place is more akin to almost like a burger joint but with a more refined Mediterranean and Middle Eastern feel and presence to it. The food there is crafted to some level of expertise and finesse despite what some of their meals entail. Like mentioned at the start, the first and only meal I eat there is the Zinger - a mix up of specialized meat wraps cut up into several individual pieces, French fries, and condiments and assortments for tastes and all.
No matter which size I picked, my belly almost always comes out of...
Read moreWent in for the first time around 09:30pm yesterday, albeit near closing. Ordered a Chicken Shawarma Family Platter. They took around 10-15 minutes to prepare the food which seemed fresh and hot.
With Shawarmas, they usually clean off the Grill/Skewer Machine well before closing and store the food in refrigerators, thus reheating before serving.
The food was excessively oily and there was something wrong with the ingredients which led to 3 out of 5 people having difficulty in digestion throughout the night, having a lot of burps, taking anti-acids and having to drink a lot of water to digest down the meal.
The store itself was excessively hot with staff using portable fans to reduce heat.
Because we were the only ones there, the waitress had to interrupt us while eating at 09:55pm to let us know that they close in 5 minutes and indirectly conveyed us to take our stuff and leave..... A bit rude.
I'm a foodie and I know something was wrong when the right oil or spices are not used or reheating old food is done as it ruins one's night. Not...
