Taqueria Chimalhuacan — Restaurant in Dallas

Service was horrible walked in confused 4 servers didn't even acknowledge us. Way more interested in filming a commercial. We sat for a good 10 minutes before realizing it was counter order. Placed smelled like restroom, and was so hot, had to ask to turn on the AC. And the food was the worst, hard potatoes reheated tortillas, cashier didn't ask any specifics on our food. We just left in the middle of our breakfast. The worst part was when asked about the potatoes the employee confronted my wife and told her "I didn't take your order". We were the only ones there. Stay away from this place do not recommend...

This was my first time eating "at" this establishment and it was very tasty.

The beans and rice were great, and the homemade corn tortillas were excellent. I had pastor and steak, I would have preferred more pastor over the steak.

Chips (which also tasted homemade) & queso had good flavor and the queso was NOT watered down the way some restaurants do to stretch the batch.

Green salsa was perfectly hot.

And these were the freshest onions, cilantro & limes I've had from a taqueria. Other places always seem to give me the old bruised and discolored condiments.

I live very close to this place and really wanted to like it and give it a chance. I have ordered 3 times from here and I have to say all 3 times the service was ehh. The place was dirty even though I never see anyone there. Way over priced considering the ratio of lettuce (filler condiments) is more than the actual meat. All times our food was cold. The meat for the tacos was dry, flavorless and had more fat than meat. The environment all in all very unwelcoming. Unfortunately did not take pictures.
