We tried this place because it was close to home and our friends ate there the weekend prior and said it was ok. However, our experience was less than. There was only one other couple there on a Friday night which made us skeptical and I wish we had listened to our gut. The food was not very good. I had the chicken fried rice with fried wontons. While the wontons were good, the chicken fried rice was terrible. It lacked flavor and had more vegetables than actual chicken or fried rice. My husband got one order of sushi, a bowl of soup, and a salad. He said the sushi was just ok, the salad was basic, and the soup was disgusting (I tried the soup and I had to agree). Our waitress never offered to refill our drinks but watched us like a hawk and kept coming over to ask us to order more food which we said no to 5 times. We understand they weren't busy but she wouldn't let us try to enjoy our meal. The worst part, however, was the check. They charged my husband for the "all you can eat" sushi when he only wanted the one order of sushi al la carte (which we pointed out when we arrived and asked for a menu). A $6.50 order of sushi cost him $16. Our check was almost $40 and we just felt we could have gone somewhere so much better for that. If you plan to eat JUST sushi and nothing else, you MAY like this place but if you plan on ordering hibachi or the sides, I recommend going else where like Sumo at the mall or paying the extra $ for Bonsai. Also, be sure to check your checks and watch out for that "all you can eat" charge if you don't plan...
Read moreI don’t know why it took me so long to try this place (I ate at the Richland location). I was expecting a buffet style experience and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t!! The sushi is freshly made, and made to your liking. Each piece was perfectly flavored and I could tell they were made with fresh ingredients! The staff was just plain awesome! You could tell there were smiles behind their masks, and that they genuinely were happy you’re here. Get here, eat here, then eat here again!
Btw the sushi comes with soup, salad, egg roll, appetizer, and a dessert!
A lot of restaurants around Jackson and the surrounding cities have overpriced, or horrid food with sub-par service, this is not one of them. Like me, you’ll come back...
Read moreThe food was not good this time, im not sure if management changed or what. They are also getting stingy with the dips and sauces. Ordered shrimp tempura and the second tume they didnt have the sauce with it, we had to ask. Ordered a spider roll and couldnt find the spider (soft shell crab). Had to get them to remake it, they did, and when we got it, it tasted fishy really bad 🤮. The chicken Teriyaki used to be good but again it tasted off. The food quality is not the same. Also, the waitresses werent as friendly as before they seemed frustrated, because we asked for mistakes to be corrected. They used to be...
