Tried them out on a whim while in Richland MS. Very friendly service and attentive. Portion sizes are definitely adequate, we were even able to take some with us. Service was fast, I mean really fast and reminiscent of something that seemed to be lost on other restaurants nowadays. Lots of parking and I found the music to be wonderful. Was able to get a margarita with one heavy-handed tequila edition - no complaints🥴. Very clean looking dining area. Okay now the negatives; while everything looked and smelled great with wonderful portion sizes the food itself was decent. They partially got my order wrong too, I received a different meat on a dish. The restroom situation was alarming when compared to the rest of the restaurant. The men's urinal did not work, so if the stall was occupied you had to hope the "yellow pond" didn't splash back on you. The women's restroom left me uneasy, with an extra door leading to the outside. No designated handicap parking at the time. Ultimately I would visit again and do recommend this restaurant. If you're going to dine-in check to see if the restroom situation...
Read moreWe went to El Ranchito to place a to-go order. Unfortunately, the ordering process did not go well. I ordered a Super Burrito, and Carnitas with flour tortillas. I guess the gentleman taking the order missed the carnitas order, as he produced an order with a burrito with extra tortillas (who orders extra tortillas with a burrito?). He also bumbled the burrito order. I ordered a Super Burrito, which includes beans and rice. He recorded an order for a Supreme Burrito, which lacks the beans and rice.
So aside from the ordering mistakes, how was the food? The burrito was very salty, and otherwise mostly tasteless. The carnitas was a whole piece of pork, no shortage of fat, but a bit short on flavor.
I know for sure they are disinfecting their cutting surfaces. The lettuce included with the burrito tasted of bleach.
So no, I will not be returning, and I cannot recommend...
Read moreFirst of all it’s not clean!! The food has this freezer burned taste to it and you can tell the tortillas are store bought, not home made. Being from Houston, Tx Mexican food is something I eat regularly and I always go to small places like this one because they usually have the best food. I should’ve known something was off when they said they didn’t serve alcohol, what Mexican restaurant doesn’t serve margaritas???This place is a joke and no wonder the Taco Bell next door had a line wrapped around the building!!! I thought I would never say this but the Taco Bell next would’ve probably been better. Serving beans and rice, playing loud Mexican music and talking with an accent doesn’t qualify you as a Authentic Mexican Restaurant!! It’s doesn’t work...
