The Fuzzy Cactus (FC) will almost certainly become a staple of Brookland Park & the Richmond Northside community. The FC feels like a bar & restaurant for the “common man,” and strikes a balance between a dive-y, biker bar and an accessible, comfortable meeting place. There are cheap drinks, solid bar food, and a friendly staff.
If you’re looking for a fancy, polished and universally beloved venue, this space is not for you. If you’re looking for a place to meet friends after a long day, a spot to indulge in quality bar food at the end of a night, or a spot to hear thrashy, exciting and heavy bands, go ahead and sew a FC patch onto your jacket.

Read moreService is trash. Stood in the doorway for a bit until an employee walked by and I had to ask "do we just grab a table?" he mumbled "yea" without a pause or glance. So we sat at the table until he eventually came by with some waters and rushed back off without saying anything or taking drink orders. Read moreI am so blown away by this place. It’s a little pricey but WORTH it. The staff is sensational, food is delicious, and the drinks are strong and gorgeous. The best part was I almost forgot all the BS Covid. Where other places treat you like a leper; make you order online; don’t even bother to bring water/silverware the place took hospitality to a higher notch making us feel completely welcome and cared for whilst still maintaining COVID regulations.
