Holy smash burgers delight! This is JOOD!! I mean there are just too many superlatives that can be used to describe these burgers! -I had the double bacon cheese smash burger. Have to tell you the downside: It was too much to eat at one sitting! Most strongly recommend. -My partner had the double smash burger. -See the review of the bacon cheeseburger. EQUALLY delish.
I cannot recommend this place more strongly!
There was only one downside and it has nothing to do the store. Parking. ARRRRRGH! EDIT I'm back home visiting Atlanta this week and my foodie friends and the many folks who ask me about the Richmond food scene ask me about my favorite places and of the 60+ non chain restaurants and the many food trucks I've visited since Feb 2023 one of my most glowing reviews is of Slay Burger. Hands down the best bang for your buck outstandingly delicious smash burger on the East Coast!
-No need for condiments kinda burger. -Lick your fingers kinda burger. -âOhmygawd Um full but need another one so I'll buy another to have it for lunch tomorrow but now it's midnight and oh hell! I'm not even going to heat it up it's so good . . . Oh darn it. What's for lunch NOW" kinda burger!
Last night I made smash burgers for my friends down here with Slay Burger as my inspiration (mine are good. Theirs are now the gold standard)! I failed because I now have a new ruler that determines success (one must be willing to learn!) but I'm back home soon and my kitchen range will be off because THEY are doing the cooking my first lunch and dinner!
While I like their Slay Burger, their BACON Double Slay Burger is 4x better.
But then... That's...
Read moreAs I walked down Brooklyn Park Marvelling at the gentrification process in the neighborhood going on I walked upon Slay Burger and had to awkwardly maneuver around some dude smoking in front of the door(which turned out to be one of the cooks) inside there were loud jams playing and dope artwork on the wall that displayed slay burger character defeating all the generic fastfood characters like Ronald McDonald (it was hilarious) dude at cash register was cool and even gave me a free drink....I set on a bench I didn't completely trust for a 12 dollar burger.. I grabbed the bag and just the weight of it had me thinking (should I check if it's a kid burger or a mistake, this is light)...but also I'm below the poverty line and a cheap skate that's more about quantity over quality so I put the burger in my backpack and thought maybe it will blow my mind....I got home opened it up and it wasn't tiny but its appearance was unremarkable, so I took a bite and.....................It was good and greasy but not worth 12 dollars to me, now the dude gave me a free drink so I got to remember that but he also asked if it was my first time buying so maybe it's a one time thing... also I should put food costs into account but I'm poor so I'm not..Id rather use my food stamps at wawa and get a sub for 10 dollars.. regardless In my opinion Fries added(even a miniscule amount) without price increase would of completely changed the game in my...
Read moreWho owns this place? Young dude working here is unprofessional and completely lacks social skills. A male employee rudely interrupted and yelled at a customer because Slay Burger missed their order notes, and the customer went to ask for the additional toppings they PAID for. The employee should have been fired for the way he reacted and treated a customer. They also get my Uber eats order wrong every single time, maybe if they were reading the order notes instead of disrespecting customers they would have correctly prepared the order. How hard is it to add cheese, and how do they literally get it wrong every time? Mistakes are normal, but this place is like getting la-la land people to complete a simple task. The customer is in fact always right, and when they actually ARE right, you certainly donât argue with them. This younger generation that expects you to be at their mercy because your eating at their restaurant is pathetic. Richmond is a FOOD CITY. If you canât perform or have some sense of professionalism at any job your customers can go grab a burger at the next place. Slay Burgers is a slop.
