Les Crepes Carytown

Definitely a wonderful place and we shall return.

Champignon soup : A (I would have served it with a crispy french baguette bread) - very tasty ! Good job

Chicken Caesar salad : A+ (warm chicken breast and the home made dressing is divine , it's not overpowering the salad, just complements it) You can see the chef and chef's helpers care about the small details.

Shrimp Caesar Salad: B- (taste is delicious, however the 3 reasons for the lower grade are:

• you get only 5 very small shrimps in the salad (compared with the significantly more Chicken from the Chicken Caesar Salad)
• shrimp is tail ON ! When you pay close to $20 for a salad, I would expect the tails to already be OFF)
• you get less food compared with Chicken Caesar Salad however it's $2 more expensive than the Chicken Caesar Salad ...

Now about crepes:

Food presentation : A+ Food taste : A We tried 3 sweet crepes:

• The Tiramisu one : A+
• The Creme Brulee: A (I was imagining an european creme brulee with caramelized top but it wasn't - it is chef's interpretation and it is very very delicious)
• The Berries Farm : B+ (I was not able to taste at all the Ricotta cheese..... - maybe it was a mistake when it was prepared and they didn't place enough Ricotta cheese or that is how it's intended, regardless, I was expecting more from this one) - because I could not taste the cheese this was like a strawberry and blueberry crepe.

Another mention: the whip cream is coming from the spray can..... For the price, we were expecting home made whip cream that is significantly tastier plus it doesn't contain hydrogenated oils as the one from the spray can. Please improve here !

Servers: A+ for Paola as she was wonderfull. Helpful but not over exaggerating like other servers at other restaurants. Exactly how a server should be (attentive but not in your face and easily available for any questions)

Facilities: Outside tables : A (lots off green plants, nice ambient lights, some tables have umbrellas, comfortable chairs) Restrooms: C (only because it is shared with another business and there is only one gender neutral restroom. You feel like you are in the airplane when you have to wait 20 min to go to restroom :) For an establishment with higher standards, this is not OK.

We shall return to try other crepes. Good job overall !
