Snapper's Seafood Restaurant — Restaurant in Richmond

Ordered two 2 combo plate with sole, prawns, collard greens, and red beans and rice and one chicken strips dinner with the mac salad and red beans. I'll start with the cons because bad news first: We ordered delivery at 7pm and didn't receive food until almost 9:30. Turns out they only have one driver! I'm not mad about this, the food was hot and fresh.

I recommend going to pick up!

The other con was the chicken strips "dinner." The portions of sides were served in a 3oz container which was a little disappointing since its just as much about the sides as it is the meat. There just didn't seem to be enough sauce (chicken did NOT come with ranch!) When ordering, don't forget to ask for lemon slices!

Okay here's the pros: Portion sizes aside from the sides for the chicken strips were great- 4-5oz. THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS! The collard greens were so well stewed! Just a touch of hot sauce to the red beans and I was so happy. The sole was fried well and seasoned well. I ordered with the extra cajun seasoning so they were spicy and full of flavor!

If you do order delivery, the guy is SO nice! Make sure to tip in cash!

FINALLY! THE PRAWNS! IF YOU DON'T ORDER THE TIGER PRAWNS YOU ARE MAKING A MISTAKE. FOR ALL THAT IS HOLY IN THIS WORLD WHAT I WOULD GIVE FOR MORE OF THOSE PRAWNS.

Was out in Richmond getting my booster shot, me and my fiancée decided to grab lunch and she suggested getting some fish, spotted this place on google maps nearby and decided to stop in. Parking is on the street and I could see it being hard to find a spot at certain times of the day but the food was excellent so it's worth it.

When you walk up they are set up to take your order at the door, no eating in during this time which is very wise. We were greeted by a very friendly man who took our order. I ordered the tilapia and she ordered the basa, we also ordered a side of hush puppies. It took about 20-25 minutes to get our food, which I don't mind waiting for, it is clearly made fresh and worth the wait for it.

We ate in our car since it was going to be a 40 minute drive back home and oh wow were we in for a treat. Fish was fantastic, also loved the tarter sauce we got. Fries were very tasty and went really well with the hot sauce. Also, the hush puppies where great. I love hush puppies and hadn't had them in a while so these were a nice treat.

For the food and our drinks it came out to about $40 and given the quality of the food I would happily pay it again. Should I find myself in Richmond again anytime soon I will be stopping by here to grab a bite to eat again and I recommend that...

This place was horrible when I walked in it smelled like old grease that dying to be changed, I was rudely greeted by the guy at the counter before I can place my order the phone rang and the guy jumped on the phone and proceeded to take a phone order in my face.. so I placed my order the $15 combo which I was charged $20 for he recommended I get the snapper , so that’s what I got then as I waited a customer walked in behind me and the phone rang again he told the person on the phone to hold so he can handle the customer that just walked in at this point I’m confused did I not get that same service because I’m not a white man in this black establishment.... moving forward i sat down to eat and it was the driest most disgusting piece of fish I ever tasted in my life although I waited 20 mins for my order nothing was fresh the fries were stale and cold and so was the fish not only do they lack customer service the food isn’t even up to par for the price it cost I will never...
