Starbucks Coffee Company — Restaurant in Richmond

I visited this Starbucks location today and had an unprofessional and uncomfortable experience. After placing my order, I watched the barista make drinks for two customers who ordered after me before even starting mine. When she finally called out my drink, she announced the wrong type of drink and walked away without confirming or correcting the mistake.

Throughout the interaction, there was a noticeable difference in how she treated customers. She was noticeably more friendly and attentive to customers who were the same ethnicity as her, while her tone with me was short, dismissive, and impatient.

This became especially clear when I asked for a straw. Another customer, who was the same ethnicity as the barista, asked for a straw at the same time. The barista reached her hand out holding two straws for both of us, but when I reached to take one, she pulled her hand back and said, “That one isn’t yours, you ordered a grande.” Not only did that comment make no sense, it came across as rude, targeted, and completely unnecessary.

On top of that, her appearance while handling drinks was unprofessional. She had exposed undergarments and loose eyelash extensions that looked like they could fall off at any moment, which raised reasonable hygiene concerns for someone preparing beverages.

Overall, this experience felt disrespectful, biased, and careless. I don’t expect perfection, but I do expect fair treatment, basic courtesy, and standard hygiene. This behavior does not reflect the level of service or values Starbucks claims to stand for, and I hope management takes...

This Starbucks is a joke the girls there , they don’t want to work every time I go apparently they don’t have have it or they can’t make it .. I won’t even give it a 1 star ... I’ll take my service elsewhere... Either they need to have people that actually wants to work or change management. Great location. Service is not good. I am a regular person. I asked drink without ice. Guy told me then drinks not going to top, if you up to top then extra charge. I told him go head charge me extra. Bathroom was so bad. All over paper. More over no sop. They have to look after their bathrooms too. Usually they have good collection for cup etc. On this location is not good collection very little. My drink was great. My suggestion manager need focus on his team about cleanliness this location has so...
