Ive Never been inside that place.
In fact, I do not eat in *any restaurants anymore at all. No point.
That's just me.
I have no reason 2 do that activity anymore.
I only come 2 get gasoline at the ARCO station next door.
The ARCO was so over crowded with masses of people milling round everywhere and all over just wandering behind the ARCO and on the sides of the ARCO and with cars and trucks and RVs and people trying to force their way into the gas station and force their way at the gas pumps and into the ARCO store today,
that I myself was forced to wait behind the restaurant for the crowds, cars, trucks and RVs to disperse ...which took about 90 minutes. Very unpleasant.
That's when while I was sitting there just resting from a two hour gridlock drive that MAPQUEST started *insisting I jump up and start taking pictures of the building like some kinda strange papparratzi photographer or something.
What's that all about? People are trying to eat in there. They are *Not trying 2 get randomly photographed by strangers outside.
I was only trying to rest from the massive traffic jams and gridlock all over everywhere today.
I dont know what has happened 2 today SUNDAY OF ALL FRIGGEN DAYS into mass gridlock and mass crush of people in one small building but I stayed away from all the melee..
I just dont like the fact about the MAPQUEST programme that I have no choice but to pick all five stars even tho I have never walked inside that building.
This map system will not allow me to just comment and pick no stars at all.
The computer system kept insisting I walk round and take pictures of the building itself and then go indoors for MAPQUEST info even tho I have never stepped inside.
It's not that I "HATE" the place or anything at all but this computer programme interprets zero stars picked as "HATED IT".
(Dumb assumption by a computer but ... Whatever ... definately, that is only the opinion of its...
Read moreThis place is absolutely phenomenal! We went there on a chance driving back to Oregon from up North and found this little hole in the wall gem off the freeway that is kind of hard to see. They should definitely get a higher sign for sure! The good: Their menu is one of the most diverse I have ever seen. I used to travel quite a bit for work and I can tell you this is one of the most amazing menus I have ever seen. As well as, they have a Mexican menu as well with street tacos and a variety of other things sure to whet your appetite if you're in that mood. Since this is owned by a Hispanic family I would imagine it is amazing. I had the Philly cheesesteak and they use real Pastrami and cheese and it is amazing. The bread that they use for their Hoagie was done to perfection. I don't mean to rant and Rave and I'm usually pretty hard on reviews that this place is the real deal. Even the presentation on my dad's meat platter was just something that I should have took a picture of and I felt inclined to mention since you don't see that level of hospitality anymore. Let's talk about my mom's salad as well, they had everything fanned out and it just looked so pretty for a chef salad. Something to that was great about their menu is that they have actual hand-cut halibut fish and chips. Not some run-of-the-mill cod or tilapia but actual halibut.
The Bad: I live in Oregon about an hour and 20 minutes away. LOL
I cannot wait to go back up there and have a reason to stop both going and coming on my trip to Washington. I cannot believe how great this place was everybody. And just how nice and family-friendly it was. Do yourself a favor and do not hesitate going in here and crying at least a few different dishes. This...
Read more"Your menu is too large, cut it in half and do that well" would be the first words out of Robert Irvine's mouth if he ever came here for his TV show about failing restaurants.
This food was shockingly awful. I like local diners but that's because the food is usually good; the food here was disgusting. I can't believe a place like this could screw up a cheeseburger and fries and a breakfast platter so badly.
My bacon cheeseburger came with: overcooked bacon, an overcooked and unseasoned burger patty, a stale bun (STALE), a slice of cheese and some cruddy tomatoes and iceberg lettuce. I wasn't expecting fancy, but it tasted like a burger from a school cafeteria. The fries were decent.
My mom's breakfast platter came with: charcoal briquettes formerly known as "bacon", crusty hash browns that tasted like they'd been cooked this morning, warmed "toast" with butter spray, and three over-easy eggs. We were both shocked that something as standard as a breakfast platter could be done so badly.
We are not wealthy foodies, we've lived in North County for nearly 30 years now. I had good memories of eating here from a long time ago; I knew things had changed, but I never expected this. Everything tasted stale, canned, or frozen. Everything. Our Tabasco bottle not only looked nasty but was listed as expired as of October 2022. Yeah I know "it's Tabasco" but still. Our ketchup bottle was empty.
Customer inertia is the only thing keeping this place open. People still come here only because they're used to coming here. I don't see how anyone can taste what we tasted today and think "I want to come back" because we...
