Newk's Eatery — Restaurant in Ridgeland

Place used to be one of my favorites. I'm crying now and can never go back. Went today, sat down socially distanced, booth next to me and my family was covered with dirty dishes. We ordered ate and left. NOT ONE EMPLOYEE came to clean that eyesore mess off the table. And this is not the first time.. Meanwhile I saw one employee sitting 15 minutes at table playing with his phone, two others were at the end of the drink area cutting up. Others were just milling around. This I could care less attitude has now crept into this newks. Used to be one of my most favorite places to eat. I've been on the road traveling this state for 30 years, eating everywhere, at many restaurants, but I'm never going to subject myself to suffer at this...

This location says it closes at 8 pm. But the employees seem to think it closes at 7:30 pm. No one was kind or friendly, quite the opposite and were bothered by our presence. All of them. We thankfully received our food, but they let us pay $3 for a drink only to close the drink station down 30 min prior to closing and without notice to us, so when we tried to fill our drink it just exploded soda all over, including all of my clothes. After being told the other drink station was still working. It happened again. We were out right at closing time. We were not being rude or causing them any inconvenience other then doing their job. Very busy during lunch but they have plenty of inside and outside seating. You can take a number and order from the table or you can go to the register and order then take a seat. I ordered the half pair the Italian sandwich was good. There is one sauce on it that I’ll ask for it to be taken off just for flavor but other than that it tasted great! Food comes out quickly and is brought to you. Food was warm. They give you cups that you can keep and reuse. Very kid friendly. They have a kids menu. Plenty of family’s were eating here. Plenty of parking in front and in back. This is connected to a hotel parking lot so overflow parking is practically...
