Me and my family have been going here for years now and we have always had a good time and great food. However, my last two visits there haven't been the greatest. Sometimes it seems as if the staff fails to work cohesively. A few months back, our waitress was good and the food was even better. But two weeks ago, me and my family went for my Mom's birthday and it seemed like all mistakes were made. No utensils on the table. We were supposed to get water; never came. By the time we got our food, we still had no utensils. By the time my Mom and I got our steaks, we STILL had no utensils to cut with. By the time we got it the steaks were cold. We had to stop and ask the waitress for too many things; i.e. can we have knives to cut our steaks?, can we have A1 sauce? I did not order this side, etc. To make matters worse, when we got our bill, the side I didn't order AND the sundae that was given to my mother as a birthday treat were added. Our waitress corrected it, but by then it was like, c'mon now! Also, I was thoroughly annoyed by the fact that $10 was missing from a total paid bill but because i was the only one amongst my party of four who collected all monies and made sure to count it twice and nobody else in my party could confirm it because they hadn't counted too i had to just take it and add another $10. Now i don't know if there was confusion based upon the fact that i gave her a $20 bill for change in addition to the bill amount or what but I was angry to say the least. Read moreI have been a fan of Applebee's for several years. Their food and drinks have always been delicious and reasonably priced. However in this last year with the pandemic we've ordered to go, mostly delivery and each time the food wasn't quite as I remembered. It was frequently cold which I contribute to the length of time from the container to the door, especially during the colder weather despite them being responsible for a means to carry to ensure temperature control.
For my anniversary we decided to go to Applebee's and give them another chance. Expecting to be just as pleased as I had been prior to shut downs and seating limitations.
I was still impressed with the pricing which was a wonderful thing as some food businesses have raised their prices to compensate for the economy and customer counts. I was still not impressed with their mozzarella sticks as they were a little undercooked and came out with the meal instead of before as apatizers should be. I was much happier with the steak that had been over cooked my last delivery and they can never go wrong with their mashed potatoes. You're supposed to get 2 sides however which was not offered during this visit.
I'm crossed between a 3 and a 4 but I do believe overall a 4 is fair. They do need to step up their game a little to meet the expectations that their service...

I told her we weren't with the previous group, she asked are u the table of 9? I said yes, she said give ur name and number. It's a 35 min wait. She ignored us the whole time while we waited, spoke to us to asked if we wanted 2 tables that weren't close by? I said no! After waiting for over 40 mins with no communication even though we were sitting right in front of her, we decided to leave. Then one of the group member asked why can't we get a table. She said we were a group of 12 so it's hard to find a table. I told her that's not the info we gave her. She said it was her mistake. How can we be sitting in ur face for 40 mins and also told u how many and u even told us how many before I did. Then said u made a mistake. That girl was playing in our face and knew exactly what she was doing. She never once apologized for the wait while we were sitting there. She kept staring at us and frowning the whole time we were waiting. I am done...
