Chill Out Desserts & Ice Cream Parlor — Restaurant in Ridley Township

We Door Dash and are usually very happy with Chill Out but in the last 2 weeks have had inconsistent and subpar orders. First time, employer read “No whipped cream or cherry please” for one and “No cherry please” for the other as “no strawberry”. I ordered a strawberry shortcake sundae. 🤦‍♀️ I called immediately, got put on hold for the clerk to return and tell me that she was told by her manager that they cannot do anything for me since it was Door Dash. I had to re-order again on Door Dash. I contacted Door Dash and they refunded me $4.32 of an over $20.00 order. Just ordered again tonight and while there was strawberry in it, it was not the usual amount and I had one spoon size piece of poundcake. Last few have been layered with several pieces. Still giving 4 stars because usually everything is fine, but lately we have been unhappy. So basically I paid twice for my order, had to pay duplicate fees and had to tip a second Door Dasher. The $4.32 hardly covered one tip. Oh she also told me they could remake the order for nothing if I went and picked it up. I was Door Dashing for a reason....

My wife ordered a cake for my 7-year-old daughter's birthday last week. I went to the Chill Out Ice Cream to pick the cake up, and I showed them the receipts, and they were looking at me like monkeys; they couldn't understand me. I have to call my wife and tell them to look at the receipt again. Later I was told I have to pay $5 more because it’s double-layered. I asked them why they didn’t tell her when she was ordering the cake. Also, they have her phone number and never call her. I pay the $5 extra by giving them $20, and when I ask for a receipt, they tell me they can’t give me a receipt because it’s a cash...

Awesome place. I don’t understand how I just stumbled here with my family for the first time. The place is clean, the staff was pleasant and very inviting. I was torn between the s’mores sundae or s’mores milkshake. The Owner suggested sundae with the Graham slam ice cream. It was absolutely amazing. The kids and wife all loved what they got.
