ORIGINAL COCCO'S PIZZA & GRILL — Restaurant in Ridley Township

We ordered through Instacart. I had read on a Reddit post that the pizza here was good, so I placed an order for a Detroit style pizza (looked great in the photo), curly fries, and garlic knots.

The garlic knots were super soggy and gross, and I have never experienced garlic knots (even one’s delivered in such a state). The garlic sauce on the knots tastes old. Idk what it was just everything was so off, there was something up with the taste like as if most ingredients used in the meal had been allowed to go bad. The pizza was hard, not just crunchy crust, but the cheese was hard and it just tasted off. The sauce on the pizza, was amazing. Actually what it needed was more sauce, less cheese, and maybe less cook time. The cheese didn’t taste very good, the pepperoni was off as I mentioned things just didn’t taste… fresh? It was just weird.

The curly fries were the best part. We were very disappointed. I won’t be ordering from here again. I recommend if you do order from her perhaps order a normal style pizza and not a Detroit style it was just not done well what so ever.

Cocos Folsom used to be my only go-to pizza place for years and years, but something definitely changed recently. It started a few months back by being closed on random days, including Fridays or Saturdays even though the site said open. Recently I ordered a large 2-toping pizza and 10 wings for my fantasy draft, and I was let down, especially since the final price was $49.59. The pizza was different than it used to be: generic bland dough, too much sandy corn flour like Imperial had, and red onions instead of white? All in all edible but nothing special like it was. And the wings. Oh boy were they just bad. Dried out/overcooked, undersauced, tiny like you wouldn't believe (I'll attach a photo if I can), and for some reason I got all 10 as drummies and no flats (flats are my preference). Also when I called they needed my address, when before they had me in the system by phone number. I'm hoping that these may just be growing pains that I hope they work out, but I wasn't very happy with my latest experience. On the positive side delivery was quick and friendly. Also, they use Kens blue cheese...

I ordered take out over the phone and there was a misunderstanding. I intended to order a gluten free deluxe white pizza and instead they heard one gluten free pizza and one regular deluxe white apizza. I was very dismayed when I got the delivery of two pizzas which were not the ones I wanted at all. I called to tell them that there had been a miscommunication and they had delivered the wrong pizzas. Their response could not have been more gracious and accommodating. They said that they would put the correct order in the oven right away and get it right out to me. They then called back to let me know that they would refund my credit card for the incorrect charge. I was so impressed with the way they took responsibility for the situation. Their response made my day! And the pizza was delicious. I also ordered a garden salad that was very fresh and beautiful.
