First time visitors! We pass by Santinos all the time and finally made it in for dinner last week. There is a good amount of parking in the back, but it fills up quick! You walk into the dining room with a nice size bar area behind the dining room. What I really loved as soon as I walked in is the lighting and all of the TVs not only in the bar area, but also in the dining area. The hostess was very friendly and we got seated right away. We were greeted by Miley, who was very friendly and attentive throughout the entire dinner. She was great! We ordered the strawberry basil mule and the berry old-fashioned, which were both delicious. Very refreshing. For appetizers, we ordered shrimp lejon and the grilled Romaine. Both were delicious. The shrimp and bacon were cooked perfectly- definitely could have used more of the horseradish sauce on the plate or at least some extra on the side. The grilled romaine was so flavorful with pancetta and Gorgonzola cheese. A very nice smoky flavor. For dinner, I ordered the filet tips and shrimp and my husband ordered the chicken Marsala. The filet tips were nice and tender and the shrimp had a nice grill to it. The mashed potatoes and green beans were really good. The red wine sauce on top was okay….I feel like it was missing something but that could just be me. The Marsala sauce was really good on the chicken Marsala. It had that sweet flavor but the sauce was very light in color where I’m more used to the darker marsala sauce…I thought the chicken could have had more color to it and I couldn’t tell if there was a lightly floured coating on it or not. With all that said it was still good just different. For “dessert” We ordered the caramel macchiato martini and let me tell you it was a perfect ending to our meal. Miley recommended this drink and she did not disappoint with the taste of the drink and the beautiful decoration she did on top. Very nice finish to our incredible dining experience. The staff is very friendly and attentive, and we will definitely come back. I want to try some of the sandwiches they have on the menu!

Hidden Gem Alert: Santino’s Tap and Table – 701 McDade Blvd Last night we hit up Santino’s Tap and Table, and let me tell you — this place delivers! The drinks? Next level. We kicked it off with a bold Espresso Martini, a rich Salted Caramel Martini, a fun Cookie Dough Martini, and a fresh burst of citrus with their Blood Orange Martini. Every sip was a knockout. The food? Forget about it. • Fresh, juicy Steamers • Crispy Bacon and Crab Brussels Sprouts that are seriously addicting • Chicken Parm Egg Rolls (yes, you read that right — perfection) Then came the heavy hitters: • Bronzino Caponata — flaky, flavorful, and perfectly Mediterranean • Pan-Fried Baked Ziti styled like the Italian Flag — crispy, cheesy, and unforgettable! The vibe? Electric. The bar was packed — regulars, newcomers, everyone soaking it in. Upstairs, the private party room was rocking, and everywhere you looked, the walls told stories of old-school Philly. You could feel the history in every corner. Santino’s isn’t just a bar — it’s a piece of the neighborhood’s soul. IYKYK. Trust me: this is the kind of spot you go once… and end up coming back every weekend. Tag your crew and tell them we found our new go-to.

We celebrated my daughter’s birthday brunch at Santino’s, and it was absolutely perfect! She was thrilled to have her favorite calamari and the amazing Fruity Pebbles French toast sticks — such a fun and delicious treat. We also tried the crabcake eggroll for the first time, and it did not disappoint! It was packed with real crab and full of flavor. The food, atmosphere, and service all made for a memorable celebration. Our server, Shea, was so sweet and checked in on us several times! The manager even came by to check on us, which was a nice touch and made us feel taken care of. We’ll definitely be back!

I arrived at Santino’s and had high hopes for a restaurant with such great reviews. I did not expect to be treated how I was. The food was good, not great, and our appetizers came out with noticeable charring as they were burnt. When it came time for dessert, I ordered the Oreo Cheesecake and a coworker ordered the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cheesecake. I am severely allergic to peanuts and peanut related products but as long as I do not consume it I am okay. A food runner, not our regular waiter, brought out our dessert and handed me what he said was the Oreo Cheesecake. I took one bite out of it and instantly tasted peanut butter. I asked the waiter if my Oreo Cheesecake had peanut butter and was told no, but the food runner switched my dish with my coworkers, who received my order and I received his. I immediately felt sick, and vomited my entire meal in the restroom. Our waitress was extremely apologetic and dropped everything to get me a water, but it was too late. After I returned from the bathroom I met with the manager who came to our table. The manager essentially let me know that next time, I should alert them that I’m allergic to peanut butter and was confused as to why I ordered a peanut butter dessert, which I obviously did not. After 5 minutes of being told I should be more careful with what I eat, the manager rushed through a half-baked apology and walked away from the table. My meal was ruined and I had never received worse customer service at a restaurant. I was disgusted that the manager deflected the obvious issues with their service and instead deflected the blame to me. I was asked to pay full price for everything except the dessert that could have sent me to the hospital, and I left. I will never step foot in this restaurant again and left worse than...

I am not one to leave reviews on anything, but today service was lacking in quality and care. We ordered chicken&waffles and pork sausage with pancakes for the kids. All the pancakes came out burnt and still battery in the center. Initially, our server saw this and requested another set. The second set came burnt with less batter in the center. My wife pork sausages were cooked and sheared on surface level, but the center was still pink and raw. This was not fit for consumption. All the waffles that came out later were also burnt. We didn't know what to say because we had a guess with us to remain formal, so we ate what we could on our plates. We requested syrup, but 15 minutes later, we were told that all the syrup was gone due to mixing the rest of the regular syrup with bourbon. Now, sitting there with burnt waffles and pancakes on our tongues, we just ate what we could and left. The bill was $100.18, and it appears brunch was not this restaurant fortie. Very depressing service and quality to such a bright morning. If anyone else has the same experience, please speak up to correct the quality. No one should spend $100 for burnt waffles and pancakes with no syrup. The solution would have been cooking at a lower temperature vs. high, thus not burning the exterior faster than the interior cooking of the pancakes. Simple practice of butter on skillet between each pancake. Clean or change pan once residual butter has burned to skillet. Chef score 3/10 remediation is required to excel in...
