Liked this place, didn't love. I went here twice. I got an iced latte with almond milk and it was very good. The first time the service was slow but very nice. The second time the service was slower and rude. She rolled her eyes that my friends and I were paying separately then she again rolled her eyes when we paid with a $20. I just don't like to be treated rudely.

The acai bowl is great but it is served in single use plastic even if you eat it there. Actually, everything is served in single use plastic! They consume so much trash its crazy! At 9am they already filled 2 big trash cans! I can’t imagine the amount of trash this place generates per day, year… 😢

TLDR: Pro cop/immigration enforcement?

Let me start by saying that the women working the kitchen/register were professional, efficient and kind. The food was fine.

However the cafe was prominently displaying a wide array of law enforcement patches, most notably including Customs and Border Patrol

There's nothing wrong with throwing what you know, and in a time where people who are legal residents are being disappeared by the federal government and illegally held and/or deported, I couldn't help but wonder what...

The Java Jake and all the bowls are really yummy! Great atmosphere, good place to chill and meet nice people after a beach sesh. This is a very tiny joint with a small, hard-working staff, and at times they get very busy. If you’re in a rush it might not be the best place to go. Enjoy the slower pace of life, enjoy the scenery, enjoy the company, and be nice...
