Taco Mex Y Mariscos — Restaurant in Rio Rancho

I have gone to this place multiple times, and most of the time the customer service is fine. One young girl that works there is the reason I will never come back. Might not seem like a lot we went there 3 times a week for a long time. I ordered 8 items. She refused to give us salsa for our items. We asked for 4 total salsas and she only wanted to give us 2. She always just makes up rules. That same order last time it was okay to have 4, so thats why we asked for that amount this time. She then lied and said that she was told by the owner, who was there, and thats why she could only get 2. When asked to speak with the owner, she said they just left. So either the owner refused to speak to us or she just lied. I don't know one place that will not give you at least one 1 oz. Per item. We bought 8 tacos and tostadas. Great food, excellent service. We decided to go to the new Taco Mex y Mariscos on Southern in Rio Rancho. Today we did the drive through since we were in somewhat of a hurry to get home. Myself and my daughter ordered the Cocktail de camerones, and an watermelon Agua Frescas. Oh my goodness. Our cocktails were fresh, nice and chilled, with giant shrimp, diced cucumber, tomato, avocado, purple onion, radish, cilantro and lime juice. The broth was full flavored and a little spicy. It came with a packet of tapatio if you want it more spicy hot. And with lots of crackers. Good crackers too and lots. They were SO friendly at the drive through, like seriously they greet you with a smile and really good service. It was ok, but nothing to go back for. The food was decent, but the nachos I got were clearly Tostitos chips, and there was MAYBE enough Carne Asada to fill a single corn tortilla; after that, it was just nacho cheese, Jalapenos, and Sour Cream. They sent out a side of Refreid Beans in a bowl rather than putting them on the nachos... which was odd. It felt more like I was eating at White People Taco Night then at a Taco Shop.

The inside was clean and there are plenty of tables. The staff were all nice, and the food was made fresh when I orderded it. The soda machine was already not working... which is again, odd, since they JUST opened for business.

Again, there was nothing wrong with the food, but there was also nothing good about it either. If I want Super Nachos (Carne Asada Nachos) again, I'll just go down the road to Filibertos and pay a...
