If you’re looking for top-tier barbecue in California, look no further than Hog House. My family and I went to try it out for my sister's birthday and we were all blown away!

First off, we met Kishawn, the owner, who was welcoming and clearly passionate about great barbecue. That passion shines through in every bite. I ordered the dino rib with fries, and let me tell you—this was next-level BBQ. The rib was massive, incredibly tender, and packed with smoky, flavorful goodness. The meat had that perfect bark on the outside while staying juicy and rich inside. Pairing it with the crispy, well-seasoned fries just sealed the deal.

Now, I travel to Kansas City often, and anyone who knows BBQ knows that KC is a heavyweight in the game. Saying that Hog House actually rivals Kansas City BBQ is no small statement—but it’s the truth. This was, without a doubt, the best BBQ I’ve had in California.

The food is incredibly! 10/10. The brisket, ribs, and pulled pork are all perfectly seasoned and incredibly juicy! The meat is so tender. It just falls off the bone, and the brisket had a great bark on it.

I love that they put the sauce on the side, because I prefer trying the meat on its own first, and the meat does not need sauce it tastes so good on its own.

I got had their spicy and sweet bbq sauce. I love both and was going back and forth between the two. The spicy bbq sauce has a great kick and the sweet bbq sauce is well balanced.

The Mac and cheese is creamy and also has a bit of a tasty unexpected kick to it. The cornbread was moist and not too sweet. I also really enjoyed the bits of corn kernels in it.

The staff are all friendly and super helpful. The owner/chef is very kind and passionate about his food and it really shows! I enjoyed hearing about his process. The customer service overall is impeccable.
