We were looking for a laid-back spot for our rehearsal dinner—something that could accommodate about 80 guests and still feel relaxed and celebratory. Ripon Taphouse ended up being the perfect choice.

Although they hadn’t hosted many large events before, they embraced the challenge with so much heart and enthusiasm and absolutely crushed it. Everyone had a blast. The vibe was exactly what we were hoping for: fun, casual, and full of good energy.

The food? Incredible. They adapted their regular menu to fit our vision perfectly—serving sliders instead of full burgers, crafting an allergy-friendly table (a huge hit with our allergy afflicted guests), and putting out total crowd-pleasers like the poke tower and the poutine. Our guests raved about the food all night.

The beer selection is next-level. They rotate their taps regularly, but everything is chosen with care. A green sour beer grabbed people's attention—so unique and delicious. And there was also a berry-forward hard seltzer where the bartender turned into a “cobbler float” with a scoop of ice cream (for me, the bride!)—it was as fun and creative as it was tasty.

Chris and Mo went out of their way to make us feel celebrated and special. Their sincerity, flexibility, and genuine joy in hosting our event made the whole night feel magical.

The 2nd time been to ripon taphouse. Was with a party of 4. Our waitresses was great at first We all place our order. 1 person at our table asked for a well done burger. Our food came out everything was good, except the burger it was rare, cold red center the opposite of well done. We let our waitresses know and she took back the burger to have them remake it. It took over 20mins for a new burger to come out! Everyone was completely done with their food. Burger was correct, but when the bill came they charged full price for everything, no discount or anything. In past experiences the restaurant would normally comp. Or discount an item for it being completely wrong. Seemed like the waitresses/restaurant didn't really care. Doubtful we will be back with that...

Friendly atmosphere, good selections of beer (which frequently rotates) and good food options, expect to add on about an extra 15 minutes to your dining to accommodate for the kitchen as everything is made to order and delicious, a mistake was made with my order but they gave me a free beer without my asking to make up for it. Make sure to sign up for their rewards program as I've been three times and accumulated a $10 credit. Keep an eye out on their special events as they do trivia on Mondays when a lot of other restaurants & bars are closed in Ripon. Would recommend as a nice place to regular to throw back a few,...
