Sweet n' Saulty Ice Cream Parlor — Restaurant in Ripon

I am back for an alumni event with Ripon College. Both Friday and Saturday we walked up before 8pm and the door was locked. We tried to call both days and it went immediately to voicemail. VERY disappointed and would never return for this reason specifically. Talked to some current students and this happens quite often. Usually the Ripon downtown community is very welcoming, but I would say steer away from this place because they will probably be closed anyway.

Reply to owner: That is completely false. We walked to sweet and salty first and the doors were closed, so we walked to sweeter and saltier and that was closed. This was on Friday. SO many flavors to choose from, and for the decision impaired (like me :) they offer a couple of options to get 1 oz servings of 15 or 30 flavors! I love breweries that offer tasting flights so you can sample several different beverages instead of committing to one, but have never seen that applied to the world of ice cream. BRILLIANT! They serve Cedar Crest ice cream and it was delicious. Easily comparable to the premium ice creams we are used to enjoying in the Madison area (Chocolate Shoppe and Sassy Cow). Cute Ice cream shop in downtown Ripon. Cedar Crest ice cream with probably about 15-20 different flavors to satisfy most tastes….although we didn’t see a mocha flavor, but no biggie. They have multiple cone options waffle, dipped, regular etc…. They also have a bunch of specialty sundays in addition to the basics.
