Rico's Hibachi & Wings — Restaurant in Riverdale

When this location opened up my boyfriend was excited because he raved about how good their other location was. And now this one is right down the road from us. I was impressed and happy after our first few orders. Now, the past 2-3 times we’ve gone we have noticed a decline in quality. We always order the shrimp and steak hibachi, occasionally some wings. The hibachi: the rice was watery/soggy, the shrimp has never been my favorite it’s usually really overcooked/old, the meat is undercooked and has lots of chewy parts in it. Overall, it was greasy and salty. The wings aren’t the worst but the lemon pepper is also pretty salty especially since they’re dry. If y’all are skimping and cutting corners to save a couple bucks, maybe it isn’t worth it in the end because we sure as heck aren’t coming back and I’m sure other customers have to be noticing the...

I order a burger and 4 chicken tenders today. The male order taker told me 10-15 mins . I waited 30 mins and all I got was chicken tenders no sauce. When I got the tenders after waiting 30 mins I asked where’s the rest of my order?? He then says oh it’s another 30 mins. Why would the cooks make half of my order and I was told 10 min wait time. I ended up asking for refund. Very unprofessional staff and no sense of urgency and not the staff had no care in the world for the customers waiting. After he gave me my money back for the burger I been waiting 30 mins on he then blamed me for it. How is the customer have anything to do with wait time of their order?? This was my first visit. This place was recommended to me by a colleague. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the establishment when first walking in. When I approached the counter, the guy helping me was patient and made some recommendations after asking whether we wanted Wings or Hibachi. Our response was both! My 15 piece was great. They were fresh and they weren’t stingy with the sauce, as you can see from the pictures. The egg rolls were good as well. They were freshly made. They did not look like the picture on the counter, but they were worth purchasing.
