I have reviewed this place before and it got a 5! I went in today in light of Scott's new menu. I ordered the typical grilled cheese for my son, and I got the brisket taco with salsa and guac. It was amazing the brisket had tons of flavor it was mouth watering and they give you a great portion. I then also ordered the cookie ice cream sandwich for my son, it was HUGE and he loved it! The cashier Maggie was very helpful in showing me how to use the built in bottle opener ( yes, I had some issues 😁) she greeted everyone with a smile and helped patrons around the new menu! Julio amd wilbert, the kitchen guys worked through every order quickly with still giving the same level of perfection and quality to each order. The staff worked amazing together and maintained that warm family atmosphere Business owner Scott cultivates. So stop in, grab some delicious food and enjoy the beauty of downtown Riverside. Dont forget to grab...
Read moreI really like the feel and the concept of the place overall. They have a good variety of sandwiches plus daily sandwich specials, hand-cut chips, homemade cookies, and handmade ice cream sandwiches for the kids those with a sweet tooth.
The reason I am giving four, instead of five, stars is that I ordered a Cuban Sandwich, and while the bread was toasted fairly well on the outside, the inside was cold to luke warm. I think there needed to be more attention paid, and the sandwich should have been in the press long enough to heat it more on the inside. To me, a Cuban is a hot or warm toasted sandwich.
I took it to go and discovered this as I was driving to an appointment, otherwise I would have taken it back and asked for it to be warmer on the inside.
All in all, there were good flavors happening with a well thought out concept, and I will definitely go back and try it, or another of their...
Read moreIm not joking when I say this place used to be one of the best sandwich shops in the country. I used to live in the area in 2020/2021 and I would come here a few times a week because it was just that good. The pickles they had were kinda weird but worked perfectly on gourmet sandwiches. Ive always thought sandwiches to be a mediocre food but this place showed me otherwise. I was in the area not to long ago and went back and my lord this place is a shadow of its former self. It went from being one of my favorite places to somewhere that's worse than Panera. IDK if management changed or something but whoever took over ruined something amazing. The menu is a shell of its former self, the homemade chips and dip are gone, no more good pickles, the quality of...
