While spending an enjoyable afternoon at the zoo, we decided to go to Wild Burger for lunch. We approached the counter to order with our parents, who are advanced seniors and naturally require some additional time and assistance. Joan C. did NOT at all demonstrate the kindness and patience required of somebody in a customer service role. My mother asked for some further explanation about one of the burgers - she rolled her eyes and said "look at the menu." We had a zoo pass which would give us a discount. When I asked her a second time (since she didn't reply the first time) if the discount was applied, she said sternly "yes I know what that is." My mother then asked if her payment went through, Joan replied "I don't know, look at the screen." We were shocked. To top things off, when we began to walk away she yelled at us, "So how will you know if your food is ready if you don't take the buzzer?" Seriously? We didn't even know there were food buzzers. I rarely do this, but I asked for her supervisor. Lily, her supervisor, was kind and responsive when I spoke to her about our experience with Joan. Unbelievable. Joan C. should NOT be in a customer service position. Food,...
Read moreI went here on 10/5/2024. I ordered a simple hot dog and burger meal. After 20 minutes of waiting in their small waiting area, I began to look around at the food prep line they had. I understand it was a busy Saturday but noticed that not just one but a majority of their staff had rubber gloves on for food safety and prep. They would then start to grab pagers from customers as they turned them in with their gloves still on. Then the employees would continue to prep food with the same gloves and grab raw food out of the freezer by hand with again the same gloves. The employees would continue this process of prepping food by hand, grabbing pagers/touching items around the kitchen with the same gloves, and grabbing raw food from the freezer for prep with the same gloves. This went on for about 5 more minutes until I found a manager and expressed my concerns. He seemed more concerned about the volume of me expressing my observations about the unsanitary conditions than actually fixing it. He spoke to the employees briefly and I noticed they continued doing the same thing. As someone with allergies and a pregnant wife this is unacceptable. They need to be better or find...
Read moreI waited in line 25 minutes which was understandable for the amount of people that were there, what was ridiculous was the woman at the register taking orders, i asked for two smash burgers and she stated with attitude "the burgers are frozen" I stated I was ok with waiting and proceeded with the order. The lady again stated "I don't know how long the wait is going to be" I said it's normal for frozen burgers to be placed on a grill and it doesn't take much longer to make to them and I'm ok with it to which she replied "they are frozen, sir!!!!!" again with attitude. I asked her what that ment then, and does she mean that I can't order a burger to which she replied "the burgers are frozen and I don't know the wait time. My self and few people behind me we're confused about her behavior considering 80% of their menu is burgers. I left along with a small group of people with out any food and no explanation to what just happened. I will never even consider that...
