Amagi Sushi in Riverside, California is an absolute gem that deserves nothing less than a glowing 5-star review. From the moment you step through the door, you're greeted with an inviting and cozy ambiance that sets the stage for an incredible dining experience.
The first thing that struck me about Amagi Sushi was the impeccable service. The staff is not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, making excellent recommendations for those unfamiliar with Japanese cuisine. They take the time to ensure your dining experience is nothing short of exceptional.
The star of the show, of course, is the sushi. The sushi at Amagi is not only delicious but also beautifully presented. Each piece is a work of art, and you can taste the quality and freshness of the ingredients with every bite. Whether you're a sushi connoisseur or a newbie, there's something for everyone on the menu. The sashimi is melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the rolls are creative and full of flavor. Don't miss the chef's specials – they're a true treat for your taste buds.
The menu also offers a variety of other Japanese dishes, from teriyaki to tempura, all of which are equally delightful. There's a fantastic range of options for vegetarians and non-seafood lovers as well.
Amagi Sushi is a restaurant that's perfect for any occasion, whether it's a romantic dinner, a family celebration, or a quick lunch. I can't recommend this place enough. The combination of excellent food, outstanding service, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it a top-notch dining destination in Riverside. If you love sushi, or even if you're just curious to try it, don't miss Amagi Sushi – it's an absolute...
Read moreThis place is SO CLOSE to being the best sushi place ever. Their food is fresh and they have a wide selection of fish and rolls. The rice-fish ratio is also good, with much more fish to rice than most other places. It's always top-notch and the sauces and flavors are always perfectly mixed. Their servers are charming, and they keep with the theme really well.
There is only one bad thing about the whole place: If you come during rush hour and order ANY nigiri it will take forever to come out. This is not a problem if you order rolls, but every time someone in my party orders the most basic nigiri (piece of fish on piece of rice) it takes a half-hour or more to arrive. Other dishes come within a few minutes, but all nigiri takes forever.
I went in a party of four a while back, and when one member ordered nigiri, everyone else had eaten until they were full and stuffed, in wave 3 of the all you can eat, and even his first order had not yet come. It is the SIMPLEST form of sushi after straight sashimi. There is no reason for it to take this long.
Last week I went with one friend. Figuring the nigiri incident weeks earlier was a fluke, I ordered some mackerel nigiri as part of the all you can eat in the first wave. Everything else we ordered came out, and then our order slip came out and the nigiri was crossed off without ever being delivered. Our waitress re-marked it in column 2 of the slip, and we put in the orders for our second round. AGAIN it was crossed off without ever being delivered. After we complained AGAIN it took 15 more minutes for it to come out. It was not rush hour. The order was for 3...
Read moreMy wife and I used to go here all the time but haven’t been in a year since she got pregnant. We went this last Friday night and it completely changed. On a Friday night at 5:00 we were the only ones there. Our server was terrible, she brought us spicy garlic edamame instead of just garlic edamame. When we told her we didn’t want the spicy she took it to the register and compared it to a photo. She then came back and told us it wasn’t spicy. My wife and I both tried one and it was definitely very spicy. She told us they could remake it with less garlic… when our food came out my wife usually asks for garlic and wasabi to go with her roll but the server never came back to check on us or ask if we needed anything else. My wife ate half her roll while the server sat and was reading a book. We were her only table as we were the only people there. She never refilled our waters and it was the worst service we have ever experienced. We usually leave a 20-25 percent tip but both agreed to just leave 10. Later that night my wife got sick and was very nauseous. The next morning she still felt awful. She did not eat anything that night except the seaweed salad and the no rice roll -love my girl. We are both really sad because this place used to be awesome. The menu has changed a lot and so has the staff. And not for the better. Offering 10 percent off for reviews is probably the only reason they have some positive reviews lately. Not sure when new managment took over but this place is going to slowly kill off their...
