Oasis Vegetarian Cafe — Restaurant in Riverside

I’ve been going to Oasis for over ten years. The menu has changed over the years but still, they deliver a great quality of selections from their vegan menu. Food is always fresh and delicious which leaves me satisfied in compared to other alternative fast-food choices. Their excellent customer service is always a pleasure to experience. I would like to frequent Oasis more often. However, at their prices, I can only allow myself to eat there once every 2-4 months, maybe even longer.

The rational for their prices is due to their “organic” ingredients which to an extent I don’t really care for. Just use the ingredients. In an American society where the number one cause of adult death is heart disease, we should all have the opportunity to eat healthy by having affordable options. It frustrates me to see the vegan community indirectly contribute to our health problems by not making their healthier options accessible to everyone at a cost they can afford. The high costs of eating vegan have been an issue that I personally am disgruntled with. I know that as long as eating healthy comes at high an expense, then society will continue to perpetuate the poor habits in food choices that will ultimately lead to higher rates of comorbidity and death. Eating vegan should be more cost effective than the price of meat.

Been here plenty of times and it’s been great each time but went tonight and the food was super greasy and they didn’t give me my whole order. When I called to say part of my order was missing they tried to argue about it. They said they would refund me for the missing item then called me back saying actually they wouldn’t refund me. Usually great but tonight they were seriously off and kind of rude. I come here all the time, not sure what they think I get out calling and complaining about a $3 taco. I don’t want that energy on Taco Tuesday. All I wanted was a refund for the taco my dad didn’t get so I could come back another day and get him his taco. However, I am not sure if I will be going back any time soon after they were so weird. Do they often have reoccurring customers scamming them over a single taco? I usually spend $40-50 there so idk why they wanted to have a debate over if they gave me the taco. I’m not saying don’t go here, the food has been good every other time so you should definitely check it out. I’m just saying maybe check your order before you leave bc they don’t seem that chill about if...

This was my second time coming to the Oasis Vegetarian Cafe and this time I brought a friend with me and this was her first time coming. I got the taco jackfruit bowl and she got the regular jackfruit bowl and the food was so delicious, tasty and the perfect amount of spiciness that we both really enjoyed. The person at the cash register Bianca (I believe that’s her name), was so patient with me as I asked her all the questions about their food and she explained to me that basically everything they make is 100% made from scratch which I was really happy to learn. She has great customer service as well as the woman who brought our food to us as we dined in. I’m so happy I discovered this place and my friend and I plan on coming back here in a week or 2 and to have this little tradition of eating their delicious food. The ice cream sandwich they have is also another lovely treat that we really enjoyed as well for dessert.
